On March 10, 2010, I contacted the Emmons Motor, CO dealership located in Pasadena, TX because I was interested to purchase a car from them. I made a verbal agreement over the phone with the salesperson Gary Emmons and told him that I am defiantly interested in purchasing this vehicle and that I was going to overnight him a deposit check in the amount of $2, 000. On the same day I made a money order in the amount of $2, 000 and overnight it to the Emmons Motor, CO via FedEx. The next day, I called the dealership and Gary told me that he was going to sale the car to someone else because they were paying cash. I asked Gary not to sale the car and assured him that the deposit check is already on the way and he should be getting it any minute, but he refused to listen to me and just sold the car. I’ve spend a lot of time to find the vehicle I like and I was ready to purchase it.
I’m very upset and disappointed with this situation. This is not how one should do the business. I send my deposit money to Gary on March 10 and he knew I was very serious about buying this car. He could have waited for an hour until he receives the money order, but he refused to do it and sold the car. I have copies of my money order and FedEx receipt as a proof that I issued the check to the Emmons Motor, CO on March 10 and they sold the cars on to someone else on March 11. Gary Emmons handled this situation in a very unethical and unprofessional manner. Please take this complain into your consideration.
