I moved here in August, and it's October; We only enjoyed the apartment for about 1 week before more problems started day after day, week after week. On top of knowing that cabinets thru out the apartment are very worn and water damange. We smelled pest urine from behind the refridgerator from the heat of the motor and then roaches and mice. Refridgerator handle worn and loose, drawers inside does'nt fit. We having to spray practically every few days. And so far thats only in the kitchen. Someone kept pushing the fire alarm on the elevator; And with my mother on oxygen and uses a wheelchair and she can't do but few steps. she can use walker for short distance. This hasbeen a problem her trying to get out of apartment downstairs every day or a couple times a day. I looked into that with the leasing office if we could move to lower floor, and they found a couple of apartments in the same price range or little cheaper than we were paying, and 1 manager said it shouldnt be a problem sence we havent been their less than a month at the time and the other manager said that we would be breaking the lease and have to do everything all over and pay regular rate of $500. more than the special we had. Of course we could'nt aford that. After that we've been dealing with drug oder coming into our bathrooms into the apartment, it is so strong, that you would think were the ones smoking it. We havebeen getting sick and can't remain in our apartment days at a time; It's been most of the day and all thru the night. Leasing office said the cant do anything, tell us to call 911 and they will note the complaint. The police was called and came to apartment and smelled the strong oder of drug (weed) and agreed to what it was. They told me that it's nothing they could do unless I give them more to go on. They said that the leasing office should be able to figure out which apartments or floor it's coming from if they know how the ducts are between the apartments and floors. My question is if I knew which apartment it was coming from, I would have knocked on the door myself. What are we paying rent for an apartment we can't apreciate. Water started coming down thru my ceiling and light in the bathroom twice from apartment above us, flooding up their or toilet stopped up and Tub or sink water running and over flowing. Air conditioner never worked right since we been here, kept leaking water on floor. That was a hold up on the day we tried moving in, we had to wait awhile until they take up carpet and floor and replace it. It's just been one thing after another. The apartment is nice without the hassles, hazards and headaches. Something desperately needs to be done and so it does'nt happen to others. It seems to be not much caring and satisfying tenants here.
