misleading and fraudulent
We decided to sign up with Encore after the sales rep assuring us that their software would work with our present POS system. We gave him a check for $125 and after about 2 weeks, the sales rep came back to us and advised us that their software isn't compatible and we would have to go through all these extra steps to clear out our tickets on our POS system. He asked us if we wanted to continue or if we wanted to cancel and he would make sure that the $125 was refunded back to us. Since their system couldn't do what they promised, we decided to cancel. It's been over a month now, and we have just been getting the run around about getting our refund back. The rep gave us the number to his supervisor after our repeated attempts to settle this with him and now the supervisor is giving us the run around. I think that they think that if they drag this out long enough, then we'll just go away. I hope that they realize that this is not the case. Don't ever go with Encore. They were untruthful about their fees and will only give you the run around with their customer service. Anything to make a buck, even if it's basically stealing hard earn money from a small business.

Credit care terminal/leasing
This company will do anything for a sale, even mislead you in representing their services. A sales rep entered my office, sold me a machine on the condition that I could cancel within two months without penalty, but when I tried to cancel within the two month time frame, suddenly I couldn't cancel! AMAZINGLY deceptive.
A Rep from Encore, after I tried to cancel, told me they are not responsible for what independent contractors tell me and that I should have read my lease. Well, I did read the lease and questioned the REP in my office and he clearly told me that I could cancel, just like he told me to get me to sign up!!!
This is a classic case of a hungary salesman that was trying to bolster his sales numbers and put food on his table, albeit fraudently! This is a sick side of the commission based sales industry that envelopes the sales world. Either make a sale and eat or lose your job for poor performance. The problem is that Encore does not monitor their salesmans tactics!! Why would they when they are making money for the company???
What is too bad, is this company has LUCKED up and pulled a fast one on a business owner that loves to fight fraudulent companies tooth and nail!
