Paid out over £3000 for the work to be done and not only has it not been done I also no longer have a car at all
The turbo blew up in our car (Renault Scenic) so we took it to a renault dealership and when the work was done the bottom end of the engine had gone so we needed the engine to be reconditioned. We searched on the Internet and took the car to the Engine Warehouse in September 2009. They told me the work w ould take 5 days and would cost £2200. After 3 weeks they returned the car to me and it wasn't running correctly. We contacted the garage and told them it had no power and they told us to take it to our renault dealership to have diagnostic testing done and they would cover the cost of this. The Renault garage then told us there was about 20 things missing from the engine and the brand new turbo that we had fitted at the first renault dealership was now damaged as when the work was carried out on the engine they left bolts loose and they had damaged the turbo blades. It cost us £150 for the testing at Norwich which the Engine warehouse refused to refund us. After lots of negotiations with the Engine warehouse they said they would take the car back and fix the problem at no extra cost as we had 5 year guarantee on the work that was done. The car went back to the Engine warehouse in November 2009 and we haven't seen the car since. We have contacted the garage several times and they kept saying they were waiting for parts this went on for 12 months.n I went down to the garage in January to check my car was there and try and get the problem solved. I saw my car so said I would be back within a couple of weeks to collect the car. My Dad and I then went down to the garage to recover the car and after them trying to Fob us off for ages and being very abusive and aggressive towards us we called the police. They arrived and the garage then told us the car was no longer with them and they don't know where it is so the car has been stolen by them. They have tried to get out of it by telling the police that i had already collected the car when i went down previously. So I now have paid out over £3000 for the work to be done and not only has it not been done I also no longer have a car at all.
