ERC seems like a great place to work at first. The staff seems friendly, good working conditions, and the chance for bonus checks on top of a regular hourly pay. Once inside however, the tables turn. The management of ERC is EXTREMELY rude. The management staff tells the employees to do one thing and then yells at you for not doing somthing else. If you do not get a certain percent of you're "budget" (the amount of money you are projected to collect in a months period) you are written up and reprimanded. Now, keeping in mind the economy situation as of late. Also keep in mind, there is an EXACT call model you are required to follow on each call, which states legalities, ect. So i ask you this- if we are following this call model, how can we be yelled at and written up for not collecting what we are supposed to? What is my story you ask? I was at work, doing my job, as i do every day. The computer employees sit at has an automatic dialer, which randomly dials numbers on accounts, so you have to wait for each call. Normally calls come in quickly, usually between 2-5 seconds. On this particular day, the wait times were high. About 2 minutes. After calling "priority accounts" (accounts you have spoke to who you think will pay) myself and a few employees were waiting on a call and were talking. Our manager asked why were talking, and i explained we had high wait time for calls. He then asked why we were not calling our "priority accounts". I then explained i had called mine already (as you are only supposed to call these once a day to avoid harassment charges). He then comes to my desk, angry, WHILE I HAD A CALL COME IN AS HE WAS WALKING OVER TO ME, brings up my "priorities" and begins looking them over as if i'm making it up. After seeing i had called them all, (and he obviously made himself look like a fool) got more angry, and asked why i did not have more to call. (Hinting i'm not doing my job correctly) I then told him i am following the call model i am supposed to follow (which keep in mind, not following it will get you yelled at also) he pulls me off the floor and tells me i am suspended for "under-minding him in front of employees". Heres another good one. If you get a certain percentage over you're "budget" you will indeed get a bonus check. But guess what? Every time you hit you're "budget", they will RAISE it, making it harder for you to get the bonus. The general complaint is this, because i could write a book after mere months of employment, ERC is a terrible place to work, PLEASE FOR YOU'RE OWN GOOD NEVER WORK HERE!!!
