Fraud and scam
Our car was rear-ended, we took it to Service King Collision in Arlington TX to be repaired as per the faulty driver's insurance company(State Farm). As part of the coverage, State Farm provided us with a rental car for the duration of the repair. In the Service King Collision front office, there is an Enterprise Car-Rental office. Sean (We don't know his last name) told me that if I wrecked the car it would not be insured unless I purchased insurance through Enterprise. The charge for the insurance was $15 a day. The repairs took 10 days, the final charge was $190. I found out afterwords that my full coverage insurance would have covered this car in an accident. I was intentionally misled by Sean at Enterprise. I would like the $190 refunded back to me.

Fraud and cheating
Received a rental car from the West Islip Enterprise on Monday, Feb.8, 2009, after waiting 45 minutes. Quickly looked over car and man from rental place drove the car to my home and I drove him back. Parked car on my driveway and when I came out a little later I noticed there was a dent(8-9 inches) on passengers lower door which I missed this morning.
So I immediately drove the car back to show the man in the rental place and have him make a note of the dent I had missed on the car this morning. All of this only put 4 miles on the car.
When I went to return the car On Tuesday morning, the man came out of the rental place and checked the gas and went back in and drove me home.A few hours later I get a call from my insurance company to say that Enterprise called them and told them I was in a car accident with their car.
I was shocked!
When I called Enterprise to asked what was going on, I found out they had besides calling my insurance, had also send the car to an auto body shop, and they said I was responsible for it.
This all happened within a few hours, they are definitely pulling some kind of a Scam and I don't know what to do. They also said they didn't know what the damage on the car was it could even be totaled out.
Oh my goodness, what are they doing any help would be greatly appreciated.
Everyone beware of Enterprise Rental company in West Islip, something illegal is definitely going on there.

Staff Ethics
Things you need to know:
If you ask for the "cheapest" rate on a rental, they will give you what they have available, not what is "cheapest". They likely won't tell you they have "no compact" cars, they'll just put you in something and charge you the higher rate. Other reputable car rental companies do not do this.
Customers who make a reservation online are treated differently from walk-in customers. Walk-ins are charged more $ than Internet pricing, and the manager said to me, in a room full of people, "We treat our Internet customers differently because they go online and make a reservation instead of just walking in. That's why they get a better rate."
The rate you see on the Internet is NOT the rate you get when you show up.
Be sure they ask you if you want to make your transaction "debit or credit". They won't ask, they'll just do it - one is putting an extra $100 hold; the other is taking it out of your account. They then give you the $100 cash back that they took from your account - if you were a good boy or girl and behaved while in their car.
Don't try to smoke or eat etc. in their cars, and definitely don't take your service dog or pet anywhere in their car. If they find evidence you've done so, it's $100 more!
If you have insurance, don't use theirs, and don't let the sales people put the guilt trip on you about not having their insurance. They're self insured anyway, which makes a difference if anything happens to the car while in your possession.
If you have a concern, don't expect empathy or concern from them. Their sales people are always right - at least at THIS location. They'll keep saying they're sorry but will add a little sarcasm and hang up laughing.
I don't think I've ever had such an awful experience with such young, unethical kids working the counter at this location.

Recieved a ticket for stolen tags!!!!!
To Whom It May Concern,
On October 17, 2008, my spouse and I rented a vehicle from the Enterprise @ 614 Cobb Parkway South. Once leaving the lot with the rented vehicle I proceeded with my plans of going out of town. We didn’t even make it out of Metro Atlanta Area before I was pulled over by Dekalb County Police. Once Dekalb County pulled me over my license and registration was asked for. So I gave the officer my license, rental registration, and my insurance card, which he didn't ask for. Next, when the officer returned to the vehicle, we were told to put my hands where I can see them. Mind you it was raining all day October 17, 2008, and I also had a 20 month old toddler in the car going out of town with me in my care as well. I asked the officer, “Well, what is the problem” and he replied, "The tags on this vehicle is registered to a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu." I was driven a 2008 Nissan Altima. The officer then stated "The tags on this car is basically looking like the tags are stolen and don't belong to this car." So after being embarrassed and humiliated I received a citation summons to appear in court. The only reason I feel I am not in jail or went to jail is because I had the signed paper work from enterprise with the vehicle being rented from them on that day. After speaking to Sara Lloyd (Assistant Manager) I was told to return the vehicle to the airport location on the other side of town. As I arrived at the airport location, I then had to wait an hour to be placed into another rental vehicle (Nissan Maxima) which was just being returned and not even clean. At that moment I was so frustrated that I just took the objectionable car. After making it back in town I went to return the rental vehicle and I was still charged a deposit of $250.00. However, the vehicle deposit of $250.00 was reimbursed to me, but what about this ticket? Now I have to miss a day of work to attend court, three days before Christmas. So here it is November 4, 2008 and I haven't received a call back about the ticket and handling this situation. I had to make an effort to find out about this ticket and also found out that it's mandatory that I appear in court. So after getting the run around I finally get to talk with Jason Daluca (Regional Rental Manager) and he states, "Well, this is the first I am hearing about this and I will have to look into this. He also stated, “I also pulled up your contract and your name is not listed as an additional driver." At this point I am beginning to become livid and feeling like Okay Ok Okay!!! When receiving the vehicle my ID was taking and a copy was made because I was an additional driver. Therefore, my question is WHY WOULD ENTERPRISE NEED A COPY OF MY DRIVERS LICENSE IF I WAS NOT AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER????? I didn't make the reservations my significant other did. Now, I'm still waiting on an answer from the company about who is going to have to be with me at court Dec. 22, 2008?????
In conclusion, I would like for this citation to be taken care of or someone being with me in court on December 22, 2008 @ 2:00 p.m. I am also planning a trip for November 26, 2008 thru December 1, 2008 to Houston, TX for the holiday and would love to continue to use Enterprise as my rental car company. In the end all I am requesting is that someone assists me in handling this citation and possible comp for my upcoming trip. I think I have been very patient with this matter considering it has been THREE WEEKS since this incident has occurred with no response from anyone within your organization…

Awful everything
I believe I got hit with the standard dent scam from these people. I rented a car for one day to go to a race where the car was parked in a field. I turned down their insurance, and the car they rented me was a ratty Mitsubishi Lancer with a hole completely through the floorboard carpeting, down to the metal floorboard.
I made the mistake of dropping the car off 1 hr before the branch opened- dents to the hood and the roof were noted by staff at their Hamden office. I thought this was highly unlikely, if anything was there this had to be pre-existing- but I was willing to entertain the possibility, and at least if they showed me the damage, then I figured they had me and I probably couldn't argue with them. I got the notice of a claim 2 days after I returned the car.
Happily for Enterprise the car was always rented as soon as I got their claim letter. Then the car turned out to be at the body shop. Their claims person was pathologically unable to return a phone call or a letter. She also appeared not to be able to respond to the Amex insurance people who tried to contact her about my supplemental primary insurance. She did manage to mail me a letter where she seemed surprised I hadn't paid, despite her apparent refusal to contact the insurance company. She finally sent documents which showed the car went to the body shop weeks after the incident, weeks after they told me the repairs happened. They never produced pictures or documentation other than a body shop bill.
I can not overstate what a bush league operation this is. Their shadiness and reluctance to provide any documentation of actual physical damage is quite damning in my eyes. Their inability to respond in a professional manner or acknowledge my complaint at all is quite demonstrative of their dedication to customer service. That Amex insurance was the best $20 I spent for a rental day as it saved me over $1000.
I will not do business with Enterprise again, and I will continue my Amex insurance plan. I will also start taking pictures when I pick up and drop off the car, and mark off defects on every surface of the car possible before I leave. If this is the way they want to play, I'm game. Stay away from these people if you can.

Fraud and scam
I rented a car from Enterprise Rent a Car, located at Brent Brown Toyota in Provo, UT. What a scammer (not to mention ***) the manager of this location is! He charged me for 3 days beyond the day I returned the car! I went in to the store as well as phoned several times in an attempt to clear up the mistake. He called me a liar, told me that I was stupid, & refused to help me. He even went off on me in front of another customer! His name is Nelson Fotu & he is a dishonest, disrespectful, rude, & ignorant person! (not to mention ugly)!!! I will absolutely NEVER, EVER rent a car from Enterprise... all thanks to Nelson Fu** You!

Terrible experience - Rip Off!
I recently rented a car for more than one week because my vehicle broke down on I-35 and the dealer called enterprise for me. A lady came to pick me up from dealership and offered me a tiny stinky car without asking anything from me. When I argued I want to rent a bigger car she said that's the one dealer has reserved for me (plain non-sense and a bullshit - I dont have any coverage through that dealer). I asked to upgrade the class and that I was going to pay for it but she refused and said they dont have any other cars in stock (I could see atleast 5 cars in the lot).
Worst thing is she did not mention how much it was going to cost and had put $17.99 per day as a basic coverage. When I said I have insurance and I dont need it she said I still need it and that if I want to cancel it I can cancel by calling anytime or by calling I can upgrade the vehicle too.
It ended up being $600+ for 10 days rental for a car which was not worth $10/day. I kept calling to upgrade and to remove basic coverage but they kept asking that I need to be physically present in order to do that and they knew it will never happen since I was a resident of San Antonio (who drives 100 miles to go and get an upgraded car and to remove the coverage?)
Unethical and bad business practices. These guys are not transparent.

Discrimination
Before arriving at the Enterprise Car Rental desk I called from home to ask what I needed to rent a car and I was told a credit card. I was asked if my credit card was linked to my checking account and I said yes. I was told to bring two bills (utility bills) from home. I brought four or five to be on the safe side. Once I arrived at the disk I presented all of the information that was required of me. The agent went over to a another gentleman in the office and they began to whisper, the agent came back and asked if I had any proof that my bills are not past due. The bills that he had were current and had no past due amounts listed on them, that would have proved that they were not past due and were paid. I was the only African American customer in the office at the time, I was told that I had to pull up my bank account on line at one of their desk in order for them to see if I paid my bills. They placed me at a desk to do so. I was extremely insulted by this treatment. I am a Federal Officer (Law Enforcement) and I was treated like a criminal.

Overcharged
A deer hit my car and I rented a car from Enterprise Rental Car in Oxford, NC from Steve, the manager.
He told me I had to pay $25.00 for the car and I would receive the refund of that amount. When we walked out to the vehicle, he told me about the insurance in the amount of $17. After 2 weeks, I returned the car on Friday, May 9th. I
told him to make sure u send me my refund and he said ok. After checking my account, I had a checkcard transaction pending in the amount of $282.30 for Enterprise. I called Enterprise and talked with Steve and I told him this
amount was taken out of my check without my permission. He told me it was for the purchase of the insurance for the period of 2 weeks. I told him, maybe I misunderstood u. I thought the $17 was one time purchase just for that amount
of the insurance not for 2 weeks. He said he explained that to me. I told him if I didn't have to purchase insurance why didn't u tell me. He said he did, but he didn't. I asked him about $25 and he said that was applied to the insurance. He said this was on the contract, but I didn't read it. The copy was in the car and he got it when I returned the car. He didn't give me a copy of the receipt. I told him I want my $ back, he said he can't do that. I told him I don't have $ to give your company. He was not professional in explaining the
insurance information, didn't tell me this amount will be taken from your account. On the receipt the amount was $25 and this amount was taken out of my account. When I returned the car and checked my account on May 9th, this
transaction was taken from my account. Called him twice today to discuss my complaint and told me he would call me back, but he didn't. They owe me $307.30
