Rude and thief's
On May 4th I was in my rental car, got out to go into a store and the car started honking and I was locked out. The I kept pushing the panic button and the unlock button, but it would not open. I was 2 1/2 blocks away from Enterprise. I called them, they told me there was a key at the end of the ignition key, they kept telling me just to push the button. There was no button. My phone and purse were locked inside. (A girl from pge let me use her phone to call them). They told me there was no one to pick me up. He put me on hold, I waited 10 minutes and finally hung up. A Pge man used his knife to pry the key out, apparently, the button had been broken off by someone. I reached Eneterprise in less than 5 minutes, walked through the door and there were3 men and 1 women inside, and one outside detailing cars. I was furious. They said we will give you another car, this car was on empty also, I had just put $30.00 in the car that morning. I asked the man to give me my $30.00 back so I could fill the 2nd car. They refused. I called Lito body shop, they not only got my gas money but called Hertz rent a car, and they supplied me with a nicer vechicle at a discount. SHAME ON YOU ENTERPRISE. THEY ARE RUDE AND THEIFS, I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

Terrible experience
I had to rent a small car because my car had a check engine light come up. i took it to the nissan dealership who recommended using enterprise rent a car because they 'worked with them all of the time" and they could bring over or drop off. enterprise advertises we will pick you up free. well i made a reservation using their website, which was erroneous and when i went to pick up the car, they wanted to give me a big car. i needed a car very bad so took the big car, expecting it to be at the lower rate of the small car, which was the size i needed. at the end enterprise charged me a big car rate and also wanted to charge me for drop off at the car dealer, even though i had been told that drop off happens all of the time because the enterprise people are there all of the time. i think they need to be a little more up front about what they do. i had a lot of trouble with this company and the home office promises to straighten it out and then never does. they let you duke it out with local agency. The home office isin the phillippines, where i dont think they understand us very well.

Fraudulent company
I had to rent a car from Enterprise Rent A Car and was told to buy "additional" insurance because I would be responsible for any damage done to the car whether or not it was my fault. The "manager trainee" also told me by taking out this insurance and if something happened to the car, my insurance company would not be notified and I would be in the free and clear. It is an extra $13.99 a day for this "coverage'. So I called my insurance company and they told me it was a scam, that all I had to do was request a "Loss of Use" provision on my policy for the time I was using the rental and anything type of scratch or accident would be covered- and that what Enterprise told me is false. by law they have to notify your insurance company and you have to notify the DMV like any other accident. Lesson learned: DO NOT TAKE THIS SO-CALLED INSURANCE OUT.. it is just another way to get money out of you... Isn't there any good hearted and truthful companies anymore? What ever happened to quality customer service? I will never rent from Enterprise again knowing they are just out to fleece the public!

Charges
I rented a car for two days (April 16-18) from Enterprise and because I'm 19 years old I was charged an underage drivers fee. The total came out to $467.00. We agreed that I would pay the $67.00 in cash, and the rest would be charged to my credit card. Before I was going to take the car out, I decided to pay for the gas in the car already so that I wouldn't have to worry about refueling it later. So, they charged $15 to my debit card. Imagine my surprise, when this morning, April 22, I wake up to find my DEBIT CARD charged for $400!
These guys are scam artists! Now I'm overdrawn and HOPING they will do the right thing and refund my money!

Rude service
Every time I use this office I get the worst service. The branch Manager John Busam is a smart mouthed jerk. He trys to get on your nerves pretending to be nice at the same time as asking smart a** questions trying to put you down. The cars do not drive good at all and you have to watch their rates!! They will raise them on you and try to cheat you, so always remember your reservation price!!

Deliberate Overcharges
Tuesday, December 30, 2008
Enterprise Rent-a-Car
Mr. Rich Driesbach
General Manager
3100 NW 27th Ave.
Miami, Florida 33142
Dear Mr. Rich Driesbach,
GOD is good.
This letter is a request for a refund of $89.80 as a result of my bank account being charged $38.00 for four overdrafts as a result of Enterprise Rent-a-Car not only overcharging by 50% for the weekend rental, but also charging a deposit of $250.00 instead of the original $100.00. *
The rental contract number was H8200V in which you should have received a forward copy by email today. In this contract or stipulation, you will see the detailed information in which the ministry agreed to and made financial arrangements based upon this contract. There were multiple things, at the last minute, in which you changed according to the report to our office representative or me. You caused stress when you announced that the rental car could not be taken to “Alabama, ” in which the contract or reservation clearly shows that Alabama is a location in which you service. You also refused to accept the one free weekend day coupon stating that it was a holiday; however, the coupon stated that it “may” apply including blackouts, but it didn’t say that you had to not apply this coupon.
Also, there was an upgrade in which this upgrade was not a part of our original contract information and cost this ministry additional money. Even though minimum costs were involved, every little bit of monetary savings counts because this ministry survives off of donations.
On or about August 06, 2008 an Enterprise rental car official sent me a “Credit Card Authorization Form, ” as a result of a request from myself to a Ms. Tennille. The address was 3100 NW 27th Ave., Miami, Florida 33142. Beforehand a reservation was made for the exact dates of December 26, 2008 to December 29, 2008 for an economy car at the weekend discount rate.
An email was sent to confirm the date of the car rental.
A copy of the “Credit Card Authorization Form, ” was sent to the Miami, Florida office with a date of October 21, 2008 as the official contract date of authorization. During the time of October 21, 2008, the deposit fee was $100.00 and no indication was made that $250.00 would be required to rent the vehicle at this time.
It was understood that the deposit would be a mere $100.00 and the rental fee would be approximately $47.00. With these figures, the ministry had a total of $347.59 in the checking account to cover: 1). $100.00 deposit 2). $50.00 car rental 3). $150.00 gas for an approximately 706.1 mile trip (roundtrip). The ministry estimated that approximately only $150.00 would be withdrawn by the Enterprise Rent-a-Car company to cover both the deposit and the rental for 3 days. Contrarily, on December 29, 2008 a whopping $360.17 was withdrawn from the ministry checking account from your company Enterprise Rent-a-Car. As a result of Enterprise’s overdraft of the account, the account was not only placed into the red or a deficient, but also the ministry was charged 4 overdraft fees at a cost of $38.00 each for a grand total of $152.00. You were kind enough to refund $60.20 for your errors; however, there is a total of $89.80 which needs to be settled by Enterprise Rent-a-Car. There were also an additional 3 overdraft fees coming; however, based upon my earlier arrival to the bank and taking money out of the ministry saving's account and depositing money into the checking, these 3 additional charges for overdraft were not credited to my account. When I arrived this morning to the bank, the money from Enterprise rental car still was not applied to my account promptly and for whatever reason.
I am requesting that you place the settlement amount of $89.80 into the checking account of the ministry as soon as you receive this letter.
At this point in time, if you can clear this matter today, it will not be an issue and I will not have to contact corporate in order to attempt to get the deficit money and to clear the debt against the ministry.
I have already heard your argument on the issue, but I am not convinced that this debt was incurred by the ministry nor the individuals who the ministry allowed to rent the car. The issue is between the ministry and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
Please do not contact (names withheld) pertaining to this matter again.
If the matter is NOT cleared up with this simple letter, I will contact corporate. If the matter is NOT cleared with corporate, I will make it my business to find the biggest search engines on the Internet and share this horrible experience with the general public without any embellishments…just the truth of how my experience with Enterprise was less than excellent. I will also look into small court options[...].
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
In JESUS’ name,
Glynis Bethel

Don't use this company
We visited Seattle from October 8 through October 12. We rented a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. They said the total charges would be $211.75. We left very early on the 12th. The Enterprise office at Sea-Tac wasn't open and there was a sign instructing us to turn in the car a Comfort Inn. At this hotel, there was only a basket for turning in the keys. We put the keys in the basket and took the shuttle to go to the airport.
Enterprise is now claiming we turned in the car on October 16 and have charged us $379.82 on October 23. This is not true. We turned in the car on October 12 at 4:30 a.m.
Enterprise is simply lying and have overcharged us. Don't use this company.

WHILE MY CAR WAS BEING REPAIRED..THE WARRANTY CO. ALLOWED ME 10 DAYS RENTAL AT $30.00 A DAY...I EXPLAINED THAT I DID NOT WANT TO HAVE TO PAY ANY EXTRA...GIVE ME A CAR FOR NO MORE THAN THE $30.00...THEY NEVER TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $4.OO A DAY FOR TAXES...IF THEY HAD I WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO GIVE ME A CHEAPER CAR SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING. ALSO THE CAR THEY GAVE ME HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED...IT WAS FILTHY.
I PICKED UP THE CAR 6/9 AT 3:00 P.M ..I RETURNED THE CAR 10 DAYS LATER ON THE 19th EARLY IN THE DAY SO THERE WOULD BE NO EXTRA DAY CHARGE...NOW I GET A BILL FOR $80.64 ...I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID I KEPT THE CAR 11 DAYS AND EXPLAINED A CALENDER DAY...WHICH I WAS NOT AWARE OF
THE GIRL SAID IT WAS ON THE CONTRACT WHICH I TOLD HER I DIDN'T READ BECAUSE I TRUSTED WHAT SHE TOLD ME.
ALSO SHE OFFERED ME A INSURANCE BY SAING IT'S ONLY $17.00 SHE NEVER SAID IT WAS PER DAY ...SHE LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT IT WAS A ONE TIME FEE...I LEFT AND THOUGHT ABOUT IT AND DECIDED TO GO BACK TO BE SURE IT WASN'T PER DAY...SHE SAID YES IT WAS PER DAY SO I SAID I DO NOT WANT IT...IT WAS TAKEN OFF THE BILL...I TOLD HER THAT SHE SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THE INSURANCE IS PER DAY...SHE SAID SHE DID SAY PER DAY...SHE IS A LIAR..WATCH OUT FOR THEIR TRICKS...THEY TRY TO TRICK PEOPLE WITH THEIR BIG WORDS AND LEAVING OUT IMPORTANT INFORMATION SO THEY CAN COLLECT MORE MONEY.

Scam and fraud!
About two years ago in May or June of '06 my automobile was stolen. My insurance company provided me with a rental car (Chevy Aveo) from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for about 30 days. Fortunately my automobile was recovered and my insurance company took care of the repairs. After my automobile had been repaired I took the rental car back to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Upon returning the rental car we did a walk around of the rental car to make sure there were no damages. There was two Enterprise associates, my father, and I doing the walk around. One of the Enterprise associates noticed that the headlight on the driver side of the rental car was askew. The Enterprise associate then proceeded to get down on all fours and look underneath the car and behind the front bumper. The Enterprise associate then reached up in to the area and proceeded to pull out a towel that had been lodged behind the lamp apparently in an attempt to keep the lamp in place! I was completely surprised that someone had lodged a towel in there in an attempt to keep the lamp in place. The Enterprise associate then started questioning me if I had put it there or if I knew how it got there. I told him I had no idea how it got there and that I did not lodge a towel in there in an attempt to hold up the lamp or for whatever reason it was in there for. I did find it odd that the Enterprise associate seemed to find the problem rather quickly. Almost as if he knew, but I doubt it.
I denied any claim to the damages and told them I was totally unaware of any of it. They didn't care! Enterprise Rent-A-Car had the rental car repaired and when I was told that I owed 750.00 my father and I were outraged! We received an itemized report of all the repair work performed and were blown away that the whole entire bumper had to be replaced, the grill had to be replaced, the lamp had to be replaced, and even something about a new gloss finish! They want 750.00 for something I did not do! I did not, however, sign up for the insurance package and they told me that if I had signed up for that, that I wouldn't be liable for any of this. I understand this but 750.00??? That's outrageous! I think they tacked on some extra repairs and thought that I'd pay for them!
So it is now almost two years later and it is now in collections. Today I received a phone call from Wakefield & Associates claiming that I have 24 hours to pay or this matter will be in the hands of the courts. They said it is my word against theirs. But I do not understand how an askew headlight amounts to 750.00 in repairs and keep in mind I didn't even do any of the damages. Why not go after the previous renter of the rental car or the one before that or every single person that rented that vehicle. There is no proof that I caused the damages to that vehicle and you know why there is no proof? Because I didn't do it!
I was almost going to pay them and get this over with but after doing some research on the internet about how horrible Enterprise Rent-A-Car is and listening to my father I believe this is a matter for the courts.
