Dirty, Defective Car
Rented a car from these folks for one day for personal business. When they pulled the car up to the front door it was filthy and the rep said he would run it through the wash after we went through the inspection and paperwork. Had no reason to doubt him. He pulled the car back around to the front door dripping wet. Gas tank was empty and they told me to bring it back empty (another fifteen minutes of my getting started time wasted). Went I got to the gas station I noticed the bottom portion of the perimeter of the car was still filthy. Didn't have the time to go back and started on my way. Half way to my destination, I notice that the indicator light that is lit is for low tire inflation. I look and the tire inflation looks okay, but the tires appear to be worn quite a bit for a rental. When I pickup the party I was traveling to see she brushes up against the car with her white coat and damages it with the dirt and grime on the bottom half of the car. My total round trip was 200 miles and it cost me $40 in gas. That's about 12.5 miles per gallon which if I'm not mistaken qualifies as a clunker under the recent government trade in program. When I return the car, tell the rep all this and he says let me give you 10% off for your trouble. 10% for my trouble? Keep it buddy, the cleaning bill for the coat is going to amount to at 6 times as much as the discount, not to mention the ridiculous amount of gas I used. I call the main company number and after dueling with me on the phone a bit the rep "files a complaint" with the district manager. That was about 4 business days ago and haven't heard anything. Stay away from this company at all costs.
