On or about 7-2-10 I was refused service by an official Verizon manager, in replacing a newer defective phone. I have an Envi 3 phone about 6-7 months old, I took the phone to the store for a check, and the phone had a software upgrade, when I asked the employee if he was sure the problem was taken care of he stated " yes I am sure the phone is fine now". I took the phone home and laid it on the counter for about an hour, when I picked the phone up it was off! This brings me to the principle problem, The phone would die after 1-2 hours with no activity? After I had the software upgrade I said okay I will drop off the phone at the store and Verizon can change my information over to a new phone and I will pick it up tomorrow, when I took the phone to the store and tried to drop it off Verizon employee's refused to take my phone! Stating "you can not drop off your phone like that!" When I asked "why not" the manger stated to me "you just can't" I advised her " are you refusing to provide me with service, as per our contact?" the manger stated "yes i am! you can't drop off that phone".
As soon as I went home I called the 800 number, and filed my complaint (7/3-5/10) today is 8-7-10 to date Verizon has not contacted me as to my complaint, I have called several times to ask if I would be contacted by VERIZON CORPORATE, I was assured many time that I would be contacted in 24-72 hours! It has now been over a month and not Corporate has failed to contact me in any way! (This is issue #1)
This now brings me to my next complaint Verizon Complaint System is in deed a frivolous complaint system, in place not to help the customer but to try and protect Verizon! In Verizon's ad it states, "the most important part of Verizon the customer". If said statement is true why has verizon failed to contact me in a meaningful time period? A complaint system must have meaning! It must be a tool in place to help customers voice thier concerns and get action on said complaint.(issue#2)
I have been trying to get information to file a court action (small claims). The CEO's name, address, ect. The people I have contacted have in effect refused the relay the requested information, stating "I can not get that information", even supervisors have refused to provide it.(issue #3)
I have a two year contact with Verizon I have been a customer for 7 years or so! I had a phone that ineffect was worthless for about three weeks or more it was off 99% of the time, yet Verizon made me pay as if the phone was fine. Yet verizon replaced the phone proving the phone was bad! And has yet made zero efforts to address my complaints!
