I know this is a complaint board but I just wanted to say what an amazing experience I had with a Technician named Derrick and the company EAC. I never thought about getting my air ducts cleaned and after doing research I found that even though there are people on both sides of the fence about the benefits, I felt that I could benefit from the service. So I found EAC in a value mail magazine and gave them a call. The ad was for $7 per vent. Derrick and his co-worker showed up on time (which was nice because service people never do) and the were very clean cut and friendly. The co-worker started on the minimum of 7 vents you had to get cleaned for them to come out and Derrick walked me through his inspection. My air duct system had never been cleaned before which is evident and after getting the total of $1600 to clean them I was little taken aback. It just came as a surprise but I did the walk through with him, he showed me everything and I decided to call around. Well the price was in between what most companies told me over the phone, so I figured he is here and they are already started, plus I liked them, so I gave the go ahead. It took about 4 hours to complete and when they were done Derrick walked me through and showed them to me again and WOW was there a difference. So I paid them cash and they left. After they left I started to get buyers remorse and so I called a few more companies when I finally spoke to one who said they had a camera and would come over a $50 service charge as they felt I had been taken advantage of. They came over that day and with this little camera went through each and every vent and trunk line and WOW there was not a drop of dust in them, very much different than I had expected, I mean he walked me through, but this other company cut access to different locations in the trunk lines and they were still SPOTLESS. I felt bad that I had doubted the young man and his company and that is why I am taking the time to write this. I also had them do a mold treatment and a sanitizer and I can honestly say that my asthma and my allergies have had significant improvement!!! Thank You Derrick and Environmental Aircare!! You guys are GREAT!!!
