I have been with verizon wireless for several years. I have 4 wireless phones for my family. I have been paying insurance on both my children phones.
When I first got the contract with them I was told the deductible was @25.00 dollars, well in the meantime over the years we have upgraded our phones.
Today I went to put in a claim for my sons Envy Touch to my surprise the deductible was $89.00. When I asked what happened to the original #25.00 the
answer I got was, it depended on the phone, since I had upgraded, the deductible was hire. My comment was, when I by a new car my insurance does not
raise my deductible they raise my rates with my knowledge and a new contract is done. I went on line and found the exact same phone refurbished for less then the deductible they want me to pay. I believe after paying my #6.99 a month for the past 14 months, plus the $89.00 deductible. I actually paid the
price of a new phone.
If a car dealership acted in this manner they would be called deceitful and other choice words, but it is ok for verizon to act in that manner and get away with it.
I also asked about terminated my contract with them and I was told for $612.00 I could. I believe that I was misinformed and misrepresented over the years and
looking to get out of my contract. I am looking for help doing this.
I am not one to complain, but I pay a lot to verizon and I believe they should have honored my original contract. I would like to know if I have the right
to cancel my contract without the charges.
