I have been contacted by this company regarding a debt that is not mine. They even admitted that the middle initial does not match mine and the address they have is a New Mexico address while I live and have always lived in Minnesota.

They still insist that I just pay them to get them to stop calling. I am going to contact Clark Howard about this - Clark will shine some well needed light on this company.

What a neat scam...scare and bully innocent people into sending them money and because they are a collection company they can get away with it.

Called er solutions to find out why i owe direct tv money and the representative did not even let me talk! said i had to send in a dispute letter was very rude!maurice chambers can kiss my uh-huh! said the debt was from an address i used to live at! she said it was from the year 2000! *** i didn't even live there until 2004! the dish was already on the house when i moved in! so i am getting blamed for somebody elses account! i have direct tv right now and if i had not paid them they would not let me have service right now! but this idiot representative did not even give me a chance to explain that to her! she kept interrupting me and i was being nice until i knew she was about to hang up! i was not even making excuses like alot of people do! i do know this though i did not even live in kempner texas in the year 2000!

ANYONE INTERESTED IN FILING A CLASS ACTION SUIT?

It seems like they are intentionally enducing the victim (the alleged Debtor) into settling for a balance owed that does not exist with the original creditor.


I'm no lawyer (I'm actually a 2nd yr law student) but I know a fraud when I see one. It looks like we have all been harmed by ER Solutions in a similar way, enought to justify combining all of our claims and one claim for relief (injunction, compensatory and punitive damages) against the fraud that ER Solutions is committing and the ongoing misrepresentations that a debt is owed as exemplified by each separate phone call and letter that everyone has received.

This is what I believe is the fraud: ER Solutions buys a client list, whether or not a debt is owed, they generate an amount due and claim that it is a balance due from the 'original creditor' Paypal. So when they attempt to collect they know you won't pay in full, that you will claim that nothing is due, but they will turn around and offer you a settlement at 60% or lower with the anticipation that you will believe it is not worth it and pay it, thus making their profit.

What I find suspicious is that Paypal never claimed a balance due, ER Solutions just appeared. So has this happened to anyone as well?

Is there anyone who would be interested in pursuing this? Should I start a forum? put an ad on craigslist (re: ER Solutions Fraud) and get this centralized? The reason being is that to do this one of us, or a chosen representative (any of us victims) would have to contact an attorney and provide detailed factual information along with proof that ER Solutions's claims are unsubstantiated and we have the documents to prove it.


This is my plight:

I just received a letter from ER Solutions claiming that I owe $166 for a Paypal debt, funny thing is, my address is partially incorrect, they added an apartment number... Ilive in a house and recently checked all of my transactions in the past 3 years and no money is owed to paypal.

I placed a call to this company in regard to an old Verizon account. I was in a position to make at least half of what I owed and want to make arrangements for the remainder. Whoever the individual was on the line was so rude and told me that there are no arrangements to be made. He was so mean to that i actually cried while on the line with him. He stated that he was noting the account that i was refusing to pay and hung up in my face. I just dont understand. I called to pay!

I got 7 calls on my cell phone, in less than 2 days, all missed calls - no messages were left. I did call back and the first person I talked to was EXTREMELY rude, he would not tell me what company he was calling from. When he finally told me it was ER Solutions he insisted my cell phone was a Cynthia someone and I said "No, wrong gender and I don't know who that is." I said "I'm on a do not call list so I'm not sure what's going on, what type of company are you?" He finally spat out "This is a collection agency." He then said "So do you know a Cynthia, does she live with you?" I said "No, I explained that." He just hung up on me...no response like 'I'll remove you from our list, etc., nothing. So I ended up calling back again. After a short hold I got a "Stephanie" and explained that I had 7 calls in the last two days and I was concerned and when I asked what company she was with she said "I told you who's calling, it's Stephanie." I finally said "Listen, you called me, I don't know a Stephanie and I don't know why you are calling, who are you associated with? " Finally she said it was a collection agency ER Solutions. I gave her my cell phone number and it turns out the person they are looking for is for sure is this Cynthia ****** and I said "Well, I am not affiliated with this person, I own the cell phone, perhaps this number was associated with her, but no longer" I've had the # for over 2 years and I wanted to be sure they took me off the collection list. She told me "I can't see your number on my screen so you have to give me your name so I can look it up." I gave her my name and she said "That's not on my list, what's your name?" She couldn't find it and then said "What city does Cynthia live in?" I said "I have no idea, this is Dan." I finally said "Well perhaps you took it off on my first request, but I got no response from the other agent other than a hang up, so hopefully this is solved." She wanted to take my cell phone number AGAIN and put it in the data base and write "bad" next to it. I figure I don't need my cell phone back on a list with some sort of 'bad' rating or otherwise associated with it. I have never dealt with a company that was so extremely rude and on top that seemed to enjoy it. Irregardless of them having the wrong person and the wong number I was treated as enemy number 1, a piece of crap. After all that, they never even apologized to me. SHUT THEM DOWN.
