unauthorized charges to phone bill
my most recent bill shows a $14.95 charge for this company which i never ordered. when i called them they were very compliant about removing the charges, however they coluld not tell me how they were ordered...when my husband call they said that I had been to a website called "quizjungle.com". This never happened, and i would like to know how they could bill..thru my Verizon acct. without any authorization...this is clearly a huge scam!!!

False Charge (SCAM)
I was charged on my Embarq phone bill 14.95 for email service from ESBI, which I have never heard of and obviously never signed up for.

Fradulant Charge
I was charged a monthly fee for something I did not order. They say they will cancel and credit, but it will take two billing cycles, and Centurylink says I'll be charged late fees if I don't pay. I seem to be one of many. This company needs to be stopped from doing this.

Fraudelent charge
Received my Verizon bill today and a $14.95 charge fro ESBI...never heard of them and did not sign up for their voicemail service. Verizon removed charge and advised me to call ESBI. ESBI is nothing but a bunch of scam artists. Hispanic accent so thick they can hardly be understood. I cancelled and got a confirmation #. Planning on reporting them to FCC, for all the good that will do. This is not Verizon's fault, they were very helpful in getting this resolved.

voicemail ID Theft
Received my regular Phone Bill today and noticed a $14.95 charge for Voicemail and Id theft. I had never signed on to this program. I called and cancelled and got a confirmation number for my phone company. When I called ESBI they said would you like me to explain our service, and I said as a matter of fact yes.. What a joke to Seniors having a line so people can call us toll-free, we really need that..

scam callrs from ESBI
I have small retail store and we are keep receiving calls from ESBI. There are calling for free yellow page service and telling that your renewal has expired and this is just for renewal purpose and no charge and forcing Employees to lie on record stating that your are owner assitance or senior employee of company and then they are sending bills with phone bills for $40.

We asked Verizon to remove these charges and they called again and forced one of our employee to say yes for free yellowpages service. These people are keep calling even though you hang up and constant harassing till someone on the phone says yes since not all employees know about this scam.

Goverment needs to stop this calls and ban this kind of companies.

Unauthorized BILL2PHONE on landline
Having recently been a victim of BSG/ESBI’s unauthorized billing ($14.94 American eVoice charges) I won't restate all that has been noted above. Rather, I hope to provide more in depth information on what BSG is doing.

A quick search on its website reveals how little this operation cares for corporate governance. How interesting that the company incorrectly lists corporate “Bye-Laws” (rather than the correct term “Corporate Bylaws”) on its website; BSG waved "goodbye" to American laws long ago and has no interest due diligence. More alarming is how warm Wall Street is on this deceptive company, encouraging people to buy shares, as noted here

http://www.undervalued-shares.com/data/pdfs/UndervaluedShares-BSG200909-UK.pdf

The document above contains a wealth of information essential to understanding how BSG (essentially a monopoly) operates. You will find that it has a 90% market share and excellent relations with the US telecom giants. Shareholders ought know about the legal risks and liabilities BSG presents and how it is continually in violation of court orders. BSG has 750 complaints against in the San Antonio BBB.

BSG charges us through our residential land lines for third party products and services without our express authorization; we neither purchase services nor authorize charges. We are fraudulently registered as BILL2PHONE users. This is malicious cyber activity; citizens' sensitive, confidential data is misappropriated. We are victims of internet computer crime and larceny.

In March of 2008 BSG settled a case with the FCC in which it was charged for placing unauthorized charges on consumers on behalf of Nationwide Connections Inc. The court barred BSG from billing or submitting telecommunications charges for billing on a consumer’s telephone bill, unless such charge has been expressly authorized. Additionally the court required BSG take all necessary steps before billing on behalf of clients to ensure it did not engage in the unauthorized billing of telecommunications charges. Yet it has consistently been in violation of these requirements, it certainly was in my case!

I would like to know specifically how BSG obtained my express consent and what necessary steps were taken before billing me on behalf of its third party client. Perhaps members of its Executive Management can answer some of these questions

http://www.bsgclearing.com/index.php/about/executive_management_team/

We all are entitled to documentation regarding the manual entries BSG indicates were entered on their third party clients' websites, including the IP address of the computer that sent said requests, so that the fraudulent purchase and use of said services can be further investigated. Request this of its corporate staff.

Culpability rests either with BSG or its third party clients. Perhaps Ms. Cubeta, BSG's General Counsel, can assist us in obtaining the relevant electronic records and communications information related to these supposed orders for services. BSG is billing consumers in advance of obtaining our express consent in violation of a 2008 court order. It has responsibility to provide answers.
