I accompanied six of my friends to the Spa for a relaxing, girlie weekend to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday - she is 6 months pregnant, as is one of the other girls! 4 of us were booked in for 4 treatments - 1 each. My friend had originally booked in to have a treatment tailored to the fact she was pregnant & was told this couldn't be done, as there was nobody in to do it; so prior to the day she chose an alternative treatment. We all enjoyed relaxing in the spa, then went for our treatments and were met by a disgraceful and insinuating attitude from a freelance therapist brought in to assist in coping with our bookings! This freelance therapist started another treatment on myself, which should've been for my friend and therefore demanded that I pay for the extra treatment (bearing in mind I had not had any treatments before & did not know the process) and told me to give my friend the money back and eventually said my friend could have her treatment, but at a rushed pace due to there being others booked in! All 7 of us had spent money on relaxing treatments and were absolutely stressed out (meaning our relaxing tretments were pointless & worthless) and had to stay in the spa for over an hour arguing our rightful case that I was not paying for an extra treatment and that my friend get a refund for a service she did not receive. The personal trainer, pretended he was the spa manager and refused to get another manager. He said we'd have to wait and write in to get a refund, saying we probably weren't entitled to it. He also took no responsibility for the attitude of the freelance worker who was hired to work on their behalf, saying her attitude had nothing to do with them at all! We were all very upset and feel the way we were treated was appaling and caused unnecessary stress to two girls who were pregnant. Our money spent on relaxation and treatments was a total waste!
