My husband received a call from this company with the usual B.S. of having a buyer for our timeshare who had put down a deposit already in regards to our property. He was conned into sending them a "goodwill deposit" to confirm that he would accept this offer and wouldn't sell to anyone else and that his deposit would be returned upon completion of the sale transaction. He was trying to suprise me with this sale and I didn't find out about things until much to late to stop any payments. Well the "salesmen" called several times to update how things were going...waiting on paperwork...1 of 3 papers completed...2 of 3 done now...still waiting on the final paper and expect to have everything completed on time ( 90 days from initial date). When my husband called them the following week he found that the calls just went to a mailbox which was full and couldn't take any more messages or to an answering machine where he left many messages which were never answered. It took me several weeks to find anything on the internet about this Emrald Resort Group and when I did it was only a phony set up on the Merchants Circle which has been removed after I contacted the website and pointed out that the phone number they had listed was that of a car dealership and not them. They also have a website showing properties for sale/rent but never answer any emails inquiring about the property and the site is never updated plus the phone number is just to a mailbox. The names of the people that spoke to my husband are Mike Warren and the second man was Edward (no last name given). The email they sent to him came from an address at resort resales. Unfortunately for us it is a hard lesson learned by my husband, he was off work for 8 months due to losing a kidney to cancer and he was hoping by selling our timeshare we could get back on our feet... instead we are hurting more than ever.
