DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE, YOU CAN RENEW YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE CARD FOR FREE AT WWW.EHIC.ORG.UK.

Euhealthcard.org charged me £14.99 for renewing my EU Health Insurance card when renewal is actually FREE. The website looks like it is legitimate and you are fooled into thinking it is part of the NHS (it actually looks a lot better than the official website). At no point did this website tell me I can renew my card for free from the official website at www.ehic.org.uk, it is only after speaking to the EHIC that I realised that renewal is free and I should not have paid. Frustratingly, the website are technically providing a service and so can legally charge you, however it is blindingly obvious that they are taking advantage of people who don't realise it is free to renew you are card (like me). I am also extremely concerned about what they can do with all the personal information I gave them (national insurance number, address, credit card).

This website is obviously desiigned to take money from people by charging for a free service by presenting itself as a government site. European Health Insurance Cards are free but this site which looks almost identical to the government version will charge as musch as £19.99 per person. it does not helpthat it is top of the google listings when a search is made for "European Health Insurance Card". I would also be very worried about what happens to the personal details of anyone using the site.
