Ever Brite Smile

Called 1-800-440-4397 to find out why I am being billed $87.47 for a product I didn’t order. I had ordered the “free sample” for only S&H of $3.97 on March 1. The online offer said if you didn’t choose to buy the whole product, you needed to cancel before March 11. I had called and cancelled right away (2 days later) and then emailed on March 10 before the deadline on March 11. I have copies. I was informed by Z--P--
at Ever Brite that they have no such record. He said the phone number and order number I had does not match his 800/866 number or his order number. He mentioned it must be another company, but what I now know is that they are in partnership with Celebrity White, because after all, the package has no name on it. This is how they scam you. They tell you in the article that if you use Ever Brite with Celebrity White, your teeth will really whiten. Whatever. He said I needed to call to cancel and I said I believe I had done that. I argued with him for >30 minutes and he told me that the $3.97 was for S&H and the $87.47 was for the product so I asked him if it was actually 87 dollars for a sample. He continued to tell me that I had actually ordered the whole product. I told him to take it off my bill NOW. He then informed me that he could take the charge off the month of April but not March. (But I have to send the product back first). I told him I would pursue this and he repeated the above. I mentioned that maybe he should go online and read all the complaints about Ever Brite scams and I told him he sounded like a nice guy and how could he work for a company like that? This is truly a dishonest and appallingly bad business. I am telling everyone I know not to order this product and I wish I could remember where I read it. It looked like a reputable magazine like Newsweek, etc. So don’t do it and if you have, don’t give up…let’s get rid of these people. I am so smart; I can’t believe I fell for this but they are good at it. Email your friends, email the Better Business bureau, eamil your county attorney.
