'Everbright Teeth Whitening' Ordered $4.00 trial, never received it, credit card got charged another $87.00. Thank God for the card company catching this fraudulent practice!

BILLING
I WAS BILLED THE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE OF $87.45 FIVE DAYS AFTER I ORDERED THE PRODUCT AND DISPUTED THE CHARGES WITH MY CREDIT CARD. MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY SAID THEY HAD ALREADY OPENED A FRAUD INVESTIGATION ON EVERBRIGHT.

Internet Scam
This product and complete company is a scam. After never even receiving my trial offer, my account was charged $87.47 in early March. When I called three times for a refund and finally got through all the language barriers and was told I’d receive a full refund once I sent the package back. I received the package on March 13th and sent the package back on the following Monday. I called today just to let “customer service” know the package was on the way, and now I’m told I’m subject to a 45% restocking fee. This has been the biggest gimmick I have been involved in. I am due a full refund and I have called in three times attempting to get it. I was told on the 5th I’d never be charged – I was charged $87 the next day.

Supposed "risk free" trial
I subscribed for "risk free" trial offer on 28/12/2009. As yet, I have been unable to contact anyone on any of the telephone numbers provided to obtain an RMA number (as per website) to return the product. I have now dispatched item anyway, with a strongly worded letter to their supposed HO address within the US.

I encourage anyone who has participated in this "risk free" free trial recently to cancel their card with the bank, log a case with Consumer Direct (or whatever the equivalent is in any given country) and to return the item with a letter of cancellation, obtaining proof of postage and a copy of the correspondence.

Whilst the company have yet to attempt to take any further monies from me, I expect that they will. Having cancelled my card, the bank have advised me that this will still NOT STOP the payment. As I have explained the situation to them, the only thing they can do is to let the payment be taken (they explained the company have probably set up a recurring card billing payment), then reverse it. Therefore, I urge anyone who has also been duped to follow my actions, in the hope of reaping back any futher monies paid.

I am worried sick about this whole sorry situation and it has caused me untold stress at a time when I really could do without it. This is pure fraud and this organisation need to be stopped. I cannot believe the number of people who continue to be cheated in this manner.

scam
This is a front for a very deceptive teeth whitening product. So far, they have used 6 different names of individuals who claim to be saving by using their trial products. You only pay for shipping to get started but then you are automatically enrolled for monthly shipments for both products, each costing around $90/month. So, you pay $180/month until you call to cancel. This is not a savings for teeth whitening. Also, they use the same article changing the name and picture of the suburban mom who swears by the product. Consumer Digest Weekly is not a consumer tool but a front for fraud. BEWARE! Everbright, Vibrant Smile, Dazzle White, Sparkle White, Hollywood Smile. They change product names every time they change the name of the person in their testimonial. SCAM!
