I just received my 1098 form from Everhome mortgage detailing my payments / interest paid and principal over the last 12 months. they state 7 payments of over $1000.00 to the principal balance made to my account this year. Thanks somebody for reducing my principal by $7900.00 plus

there are now 10 notes entered in the month of June, one of which minused out the June payment. So do I still owe for June ?? All this was an

obvious error to which I have made several phone calls

they did not send me a letter with corrections as they said they would

so I called them again. same story--cant call there cash management dept direct and don't figure they will ever get this straightened out.

Meantime I wonder who has a monthly payment coupon printed out and sent by Everhome with my account number on it-- who lost there home due to misdirected payments ??

Large Loss Claim
My wife and I were unfortunate victims of a tornado. The damage was all assessed and my insurance company issued our check. Unfortunately, our mortgage is owned by Everhome. The process sounds very easy and our neighbors are also going through the same process with their mortgage company. The problem is, Everhome is one of 2 things, CROOKS or just simply a bunch of IDIOTS. We were instructed to fax our contractors bid signed by ourselves and the contractor and the insurance adjusters claim and they will disburse the monies in insatallments. Well, getting the first check has been a nightmare. The first 6 or so times we tried to fax the docs, we had trouble getting thru because the fax number was busy. I called to find out if there was another fax number we could try, we were told no, keep trying we are recieving alot of faxes today. Finally we got it to go through, but we couldnt follow up that day because it went thru after 5 p.m. when no one was in the office. The next day we called to follow up and were told they never recieved the fax. I spoke with a gentleman named Todd and I told him we were having trouble with the fax going thru and it rings busy all day long. He said "thats strange, that is an electronic fax so it should never ring busy". I told him it was ringing busy and was just told the day before that it would ring busy if there was a lot of activity on it. I asked him if there was a different fax # to try and he gave me one. I then asked if I could just deal with him and he said yes, just ask for me when you call. We then faxed 20+ pages to the second # and of course it rang busy. I called the next day and asked for Todd. Todd was convienently at lunch when I called and was told to call back at 3 p.m. that day, Todd should be back from lunch by then. So, 3 p.m. rolls around and I ask for Todd. Todd is gone for the day. My wife finally got the fax to go thru and we called to verify, nothing went thru according to everhome. We ended up faxing 22 pages 12 times and 2 went thru and verified with fax transmission reports, but yet Everhome says they did not recieve anything. I assumed the fax was recieved since we had verification that it was, so i contacted them again. I told the girl we faxed all the documents they needed and i have confirmation that they were recieved, she put me on hold for 3 minutes to look over notes in the system. She comes back to me to inform me that they were waiting on a contractors signed bid and the insurance claim. I had to explain to her thats why I am calling. I faxed that I have verification that it went thrru just fine and I need answers as to why they keep telling what they need when i call and they have it all. She says we havent recieved anything via fax. I exploded on the phone out of frustration and used some heavy profanity. This girl starts chuckling. I said I know this may be funny to you but I am simply trying to fix my f'ing house that has been damaged by a tornado and everything was going good until Everhome got involved. She asked me if there was anything else she could do for me and i said are you kidding? The next day was Thursday and i was off work at home and thought this is a perfect time to fax and follow up. So i did and called right away and talked to a guy named Marco. Marco told me that the fax was recieved, but they still neede the signed bid from the contractor. I thought great another moron to deal with. I had to explain to him that i faxed 22 pages and it was part of that. He then says i have the page that is signed by all parties but the actual bid they need is itemized with the cost and what is to be done work wise. I said to him again, that is part of the 22 pages i faxed, keep scrolling thru your electronic fax abd the actual bid portion starts at page 4. "Oh, ok he says we also need the insurance ajusters claim as well. " Again I tell him to keep going beacause he will eventually find it within those 22 pages. "Oh okay here it is". He then proceeds to tell me the contractors bis may not be in correct form and may not be processed. I did everything in my power to not flip out this time, but made it clear I was disgusted, I simply asked him, "WHAT DO YOU F'ING PEOPLE CONSIDER A CONTRACTORS BID?" He says " well, I am not in processing, so I cant determine if this is correct or not" I say, "then why in the hell are you telling me its not correct?" He says well, it will be sent to processing and call back between 4-5 p.m. to see if it was accepted. UNBELIEVABLE!. I call back at 4:29 and ask the girl to check the status. She tells me they are still waiting for Contractors bid and Insur...I stopped her right then and there and told her to put me on hold for 2-3 minutes and read the notes. So she did. She got back on with me and told me yes, everything is in processing but we wont have a final word until tomorrow morning. OK i thought, the ball is finally rolling. I woke this morning to call them and get the good news that my first check is being release. Not so much. The girl (Andrea) tells me they are awaiting contractors bid and I stopped her right there. I explained the situation and she puts me on hold and gets back on to tell me processing takes 2 business days...EXPLODE. So here i am writing this complaint and i still have no clue as to what the holdup is. My home has blue tarpped windows a dumpster in my driveway and I cant get answers from my mortgage company. There are many other details I left out that has added to my frustrations. These are just the ones that come to mind while ranting and typing. So to say the least EVERHOME SUCKS...They can give a rats ass about their customer and someway they are making money offthis disaster and want to hang on to this money for as long as they can...it is $30+ thousand dollars we are talking about. If there was a way I could sue for negligence, withholding or plain stupidity i would. Everhome is a disaster and they are CROOKS!

Scam
My husband lost his job and we fell behind on our mortgage payments. I've had the money to give them to catch everything up for a month and a half. However, they told me I have to get the total quote with the legal fees (which adds up everyday). I have yet to recieve a call back. It wasn't until yesterday when I e-mailed the vice president, Ms. McManus at [email protected] and threatened to contact a lawyer that I got a call this morning at 8:00 AM. The lady said that she is going to look into things and get back with me today, I'll let you know how it goes.

Screwed me big time
I'm not trusting them, Everhome, my trust is in the lord. They told us not to send a payment in and that we needed to be at least 3 payments behind to qualify for a modification. We didn't send a payment when i called them I was told that we didn't qualify. I'm trusting GOD!!! Here's a prayer for everyone in this situation with this mtg co. Father God I come to u today asking that you will touch and bless everyone one this site. Lord We need a miracle. This Company is not for us. Lord you are. For u and in your word, If God be for u who can be against you, Rom 8:31. Lord we love and we thank u in advance for what you are about to do in our favor. In Jesus name i ask these blessing. Amen!!! Praise God now leave it in his hands. Get some rest. It's done.

Mortgage Fraud
Loan Officer performed unethical selling practice that was dishonest and shameful.
Everhome Mortgage has practice MORTGAGE FRAUD.

I was a first time home buyer with a good income and credit score. When I signed up the mortgage payment with Loan Officer, DEJAN, I specifically told him that I do NOT want escrow account in my mortgage over the phone and he AGREED with it. Later on after I closing my house, I did not realize that the 500 pages closing documents that I have signed does include the escrow account. In my first year, I paid regularly my monthly mortgage for $1, 100.

In the second year, my mortgage increased to $2, 000s due to the escrow account. I requested the company to waive the escrow account, so that I can afford the monthly payment of $1, 100. I called the customer service around 8 times, and every time I called them, they act like they're trying to solve my problem and giving me the false hope. Sure enough after 7 months of battling the escrow account, the company would never waive it, but they did reduce it to $1, 650. I am really sick with this company and their unethical business practice, and they keep charging extra fee for their own mistake.

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND anyone to finance their home with EVERHOME MORTGAGE. THIS COMPANY HAS SO MUCH COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR PRACTICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE GOOGLE "EVERHOME MORTGAGE REVIEW" BEFORE YOU SIGNED UP WITH THEM.

I have tried to contact the Loan Officer, Dejan about 5-6 times, and has left 3 messages, but he doesn’t have a ball to call me back and denies his unethical business practice.

Below is the letter that I wrote to Customer Service:

Dear Customer Service:

I recently received a letter from EverHome Mortgage Company stating that my home mortgage monthly payment will increase from $1, 147.78 to $2, 020.46 on April 01, 2010, due to your miscalculation of my property taxes and home insurance escrow withholding.

When I signed up for the loan, I was a first-time home buyer that relied on the mortgage information provided by my loan officer, Dejan. Since I have a good job and credit score, I stated very clearly in my phone conversation to Dejan that I did not want escrow payments incorporated into my mortgage payment. However, without my knowledge, the loan agreement that I signed included an escrow account for property taxes and home insurance.

I do understand that you have paid my 2009/2010 property taxes for the amount of $5, 357.24, and I have paid into escrow a total of $1, 987.31. The difference that I owe you in property taxes is $3, 369.93. I am going to send you 2 checks via mail for the amount of $3, 369.93 (for the property tax shortage) and $994.91 for April mortgage payment (principal & interest only).

I have always paid on time for every monthly mortgage payment. From now on, I am going to pay the property taxes and home insurance from my own pocket, and I am now fully responsible for both of them. Please change my monthly mortgage payment effective April 1st to equal only the principal and interest due of $994.91.

I want you to discontinue my escrow withholding because I never intended to have an escrow account, I cannot afford to have you withhold $1025.55 every month for future taxes and insurance, and I intend to pay my taxes and insurance myself as they become due. Please reply immediately and confirm that you have canceled and closed my escrow account.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

They didn't pay my homeowners insurance and now it has been canceled
Every six months I have to fight with the Everhome mortgage to pay my homeowners insurance because they claim they didn't get a bill from my insurance company. This time the insurance company canceled my homeowners insurance. I talked to Everhome mortgage they said they sent the payment on April 1st, the insurance was due to be canceled on April 7th. I got a letter Aril 11th from my insurance company stating my insurance has been canceled.I called Everhome on March 31st and told them the inurance hasn't been paid and will cancel on April 7th. My insurance agent had to fax a copy of the insurance declaration to them on March 31st. Every six months I get the run around from Everhome. I did no choose this mortgage company my mortgage was sold to them. We should have a choic about weather we want to have our mortgage sold.Again this happens every time a new insurance payment is due.

I am not going to get to involved with this one, but if Everhome is the maintenance company for your loan I feel very sorry for you, I have been trying to get the Fannie mea and Freddie Mac Home modification loan after losing my Job. We submitted all the appropriate documentation they requested "To the best of our knowledge" and sent it to them numerous times as a matter of fact<br />
because they either keep losing it or misplacing it. After getting a call from their representative telling us we were approved for the loan<br />
two weeks later we get a call from one of their african american reps<br />
"Whom I have had trouble with before" and verbally told me that our loan in fact was not approved???? with absoluetely no explanation other then you are not approved??? it is specifically stated in the legal documents they sent us for applying for the home affordability & modification program, that if the modification is rejected they must submit it to you in writing. I informed the girl that it is not acceptable to just tell me over the phone that I did not get approved and I read her the stsement in the paper work that THEY sent me, that the information must be sent to me in writing. After requesting to talk to a superviser she proceeded to hassle me instead of transferring me as I requested and all she would give me at that point is a phone number<br />
to her supervisor to whom I have left a number of messages to return my call, and to this day I still have not received a call back from Everhome Mortgage Company. After getting off the phone with the african american representative, I had to call my Fiance home from work to try and call them back. She came home and called and did happen to get a helpful Caucasion lady to help her "BUT" she informed us that the account to modify our loan was canceled by the african american rep and she immediatly opened a completly new case so we have to start all over, only the new modified amount grew by $200.00<br />
per month. At this point it seems that a single rep has total control over your current and future payments?????? I have no other alternative but to think that this is a matter of discrimination, how can one person control my financial future in terms of the loan modification program when we are talking about ten's of thousands of dollars over the remaining term of the loan?? Now that we have been dealing with a new "HELPFUL" rep, I was rescently informed that appearantly this same african american rep noted on our account that she had tried to contact us and that she had left a message. "A Total Lie" we were home that entire day and never left the house. We also are able to print out a report of all incomming calls which there was not one from EVERHOME or EVERBANK as they show up on the caller ID. So now we are resubmitting all the documentation again to the best of our knowledge since Everhome Mortgage Company never gave us one shred of information as to why our loan was not processed<br />
even though we were pre approved and met all the mathematical requirements and to this day we still have no idea why we were not approved the first time???? and we are pretty confident based on the last go around that we will probably not be approved again. Why should they approve us if all that is required is to have a rep call you and tell you to bad so sad, "You are not approved". This rep that seems to be discriminating against us, since she seems to be the decision maker at Everhome Mortgage Company and has seemingly way to much power to choose who she grants modification loans to and in fact may in the end have caused us to lose our home and never had to give us one single reason as to why the loan was not approved. She was Rude and totally disrespectful from the word "Go", I also should not have to explain anything to her when I request a supervisor either. I am sorry, I am not a person that discriminates but in this case I can only assume the worst since she seems to have the authority to do whatever she wants with absolutely no explanation.

Service
My loan was sold to EverHome last year and they have the worst service, they take way to long to deposit checks and clear auto drafts. I contacted them to day to enquire on a rate or loan modification as my rate will be adjusting and I will be unable to afford at the higher rate.

I was told there was nothing that could be done unless I was not making payments or wanted to refinance. Basically I can and would continue to pay on time at my current rate and only until I am behind they will discuss options. Seems kind of reactive instead of proactive, no wonder these banks are in the situation they are.

Loan Modification
I called the company to ask for a Loan Modification and they advised me not to pay my mortgage for 4 months then call back. I called the company 4 times and it is the same answer that I received. I received a letter in the mail from the company saying to call us we can help if you are over your head with your mortgage. My loan is also covered by FanyMay and they told me I was shit out of luck! Does anyone have a solution? I need help before I do lose my home. I have lost everything else...Sold newer car, dropped home phone + cable and internet and eating off cheap caned food since I need to make the payments.

Horrible Customer Service-Are there any humans there?
Unfortunately, our loan was sold to Everhome Mortgage last April. In October they sent notice that our total payment was raised over $200 to cover insurance premiums. The minute I received notice of the increase, I reduced our insurance premiums and insurance binders were sent to them. No changes have been made in our monthly payment. I have tried to use the website and calling them to request escrow to review our payment and readjust to no avail. They make it very clear, whether by website or by customer service that they can't help us, just make your payment. Their customer service cannot be human, they all give the same memorized answers. We are self employed real estate appraisers. We have been living on the edge for over two years starting with lousy mortgage brokers wanting us to over value properties and telling them no way. So, it was tough making the payments before and even tougher now. But, we have had perfect credit for over 30 years and so have made every sacrifice to make these higher payments on time. At the first of January 09 I sent a registered letter asking them once again to review our escrow account and reduce our monthly payment. It is now Jan. 27th and I haven't heard anything from them, so here comes the February payment at the still higher amount to try and make. There is no place in their website for anything out of the ordinary. It just wants money. Calling customer service is the same. You might as well be talking to a recording. Are there any human beings there? I don't think so. We are doing everyting humanly possible to stay afloat here to no avail. This company is impossible to work with and we have both been in the industry, from processing to escrow to appraising for 25 years. So, we know the language and the procedures. It is of NO help with this outfit.
