Telephone call to state they could help with my credit card debts. Spoke on phone for over twenty minutes as I wanted to be sure they were a genuine company. Agreed for them to ac on my behalf and payed over phone £500 by credit card. Received various letters through post requesting lots of details on the agreements signed for my credit card and had to complete two cheques £10 & £1 for this information. Then received further letters to sign and forward to Credit provider detailing how card was not sold to me correctly. Responses received and forwarded on between two parties. Meant to be dealt with in 16 weeks. This went on for six months so tried to contact EBA and found that they are bogus company and have now closed up shop.

I was contacted in June of 2010 by a representative of Evolution Business Associates, at the time using the name VSS consultancy services.

They advised me that through legal loopholes, they could challenge my credit agreement, which I found questionable. They supplied me with a company number to put into the Ministry of Justice website and it checked out, so I decided to take on their service.

They advised me that the best way to do it was to pay their fee on my card, as they were going to clear it anyway, so this is what I did. The fee they charged me was in the region of £430, I still have the statement with it on.

The company seemed to be geniune and proceeded to reply to all my questions quite promptly, however, after not hearing back for a while, I sent a few e-mails which were bounced back by the system. I decided to call them up to chase progress, only to find that their number was no longer in use.

So, in essence, what has happened is my credit card balance has got higher and they have disappeared with £400 of my cash.
