Unauthorized charges
I was contacted by Excel Loss Mitigation by telephone and they explained to me all the ways in which they could help me with my house. Originally I tried to do a loan modification and when that was denied I decided to try for a short sale. I paid them 1200.00 and they did absolutely nothing for me. I worked with 4 different representatives because they either were quitting or getting fired. They kept telling me offers were coming in and we were almost done. They even sent an appraiser to appraise the home. Now they will not return my phone calls. I try to call every day but it goes directly to voicemail even when I call the corporate office.
I started this process in August 2008 and thought this was my answer to avoid foreclosure but was I ever wrong my house is now being foreclosed on. My mortgage company said that there was never any documentation for a loan modification and that they were only contacted by Excel Loss Mitigation a couple of times and were never presented with any offers for a short sale.

They are LIARS
This company will LIE in order to get your money I THINK CAPITAL PUNISHMENT SHOULD BE THE PUNISHMENT FOR PRAYING ON PEOPLE IN HARDSHIP, They will not answer there phone or respond to emails this company is a fraud and i hope they choke on the 1500.00 dollars they stole from me, I hope they lose there home and there kids wind up on the streets cold and hungry cause someone stole there money while smiling and getting there hopes up. They should know what goes around comes around.

Scam
I am very upset with this company because there should b charges against a company who misleads borrowers who go through hardships or whatever and trust businesses to help you and they scam u. My situation was exacty the same . I receive information from this company including phone calls from a David Essbay and a David Calvert expressing that they can get me a modification for my loan providing that i send a fee of 1500 dollars. Since I sent the money, I have not have modified loan and i have been requesting n writing my refund since u guarrantee one if u r not satified. I can not get a hold of anyone. U cant even pull up the web page now. I am going to presue it legally.

Overcharged
I have fallen behind on my mortgage. This company somehow got my phone number and was offering me a loan modification. I sent them all my information and the $1498 dollar fee after I dealt with a nice man named Larry. He was very reassuring and explained how the whole process worked. He said I was a great candidate for a loan modification.
This was in early January. It is March now and I can't get anyone from this company to speak with me! I have called 20 times or more. I have E-Mailed through the web site. I have gotten no response whatsoever! I am beyond frustrated!
I am not going to call this company a scam. However, I have never dealt with a company that was so terrible with customer service.I spoke to my mortgage company and they don't acknowledge any negotiation about modifying my Loan!
Excel Offers a Money back guarantee on their website as well as outstanding customer support.
Now when I call, I get a recording that says ' the mail box is full'. I am dealing with my mortgagor direct from now on. What about my $1498 and all of my personal information out there?
I could become homeless dealing with a company like this!
