Dear Rabbit,
My name is Kimberly Crumpler and I had spoken with you last month regarding partial refund of my warranty. You said you would “make it right” and that Dennis Hopper will handle the details. I live in Las Vegas and drove to your Business in UT to purchase my vehicle. I purchased an additional three year extended Alpha warranty for $1146 and gap coverage $295, total cost to me $1460.
I sold the vehicle on March 28, 2011 and sent Alpha the requested cancellation. When I spoke with Alpha regarding the refund they told me, after the cancelation fee there was no monies left and to speak with the dealer regarding a refund. Which I did! You said “You would make it right!” I had the vehicle less than 2 years leaving 1 year of warranty balance of approximately $388.00.
I spoke with Dennis who originally sold me the vehicle and he said to touch base with you. Dennis said Warranty is like insurance and you don’t get refunds. BUT I did receive a letter from SST stating they sent you the refund for my GAP insurance coverage of $107.36.
They did charge a $50 processing fee for cancelation, not a $388 cancelation fee.

I have not been able to reach you and have not received any refund from your business. I know
In fact you’ve received a refund check of $107.36 and am wondering why you have not bothered to send me any monies nor have you made any effort to contact me or make good on your word.

I have been calling for weeks trying to settle this. I would like to be able to refer others to your business and would appreciate it if you would follow through on this immediately. I do not appreciate the fact that you are holding my monies, avoiding my calls and I feel I am getting the run around.

To whom it may concern;

I have filed a complaint with the St. George Utah BBB regarding this issue but because the company has now changed its name to Executive Auto Group, they are unable to help me even though the company is the same owner, same employees, just dba now under a different name.

April 2011, I spoke with Dennis Hopper the Sales Associate who originally sold me the vehicle, at Executive Auto Group and he told me it was the same owner as Executive Car Sales they just changed the name.

The contract attached clearly shows monies paid in full to Executive Car Sales now dba as Executive Auto Group. Also the letter from SST clearly states that monies are owed to me.

Since the company is the same owner just operating under a different name now, they should be held liable and pay me back the refund owed to me. This company should not be allowed to operate as a business as they are clearly operating under deceptive business practices wherein changing their name to avoid their liability to the consumer.
