I have been looking to rent a house in Queen Creek, AZ and came across one listed by Karen Rogers a realtor for Executive Reality in Gilbert AZ. When I first contacted her she was real prompt and very courteous. I let her know I was submitting an application for the house and she informed me the fee had to be certified funds such as a money order. After I contacted her to let her know I submitted the application and funds is where things took a weird and in my opinion a shady turn. Karen contacted me to tell me that the other people beat me to dropping off their application so if she does not process mine she would return my funds. I thought this was strange because who cares who turned their application in first it should be the best possible candidate. However I said that was fine and I would wait to hear back from her. A little while later she texted me to tell me the other peoples application was already A little Rocky and if I would not mind she would like to process our application at the same time. Thinking this was peculiar based on her previous statements I decided to call her. After speaking to her and addressing all my concerns and my credit history in detail we agreed to run my application and she would inform me of the decision the next day. This is when the communication almost stopped. The next day I contacted her around 2 pm and asked if she had a decision she contacted me back with a very short No not yet response. I sent a follow up asking her if she could provide a short timeline on when I could expect to hear something. I never heard back from her that day. The next morning she contacted me and let me know my application was denied due to something on my report. I inquired what it was and she let me know it was something from a previous apt complex. I tried to explain to her that we won the case in court and I would provide her with proof that it was not supposed be on my credit. However she became very condescending telling me I did not disclose this information and if I had then she would not have rejected my application. When I explained I had no idea it was on my report so I could not disclose something I was unaware of she told me it no longer mattered my application was rejected. Based on this I am left wondering if she just wanted my application fee!! The whole experience with her left me feeling negative toward realtors I felt like she was the classic used car sales man pulling the old bait and switch. NEVER IN MY LIFE WOULD I EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE EVER USING KAREN ROGERS OF EXECUTIVE REALITY IN GILBERT AZ!!
