Scam
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY OR ACCEPT ANY OF IT'S BS!! I LISTED MY BOAT LAST AUGUST OR SO AND TO DATE THE ONLY INQUIRIES I'VE HAD WAS ON THE ADS I PLACED MYSELF SINCE DECEMBER. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM AND IF THEY DO RETURN PHONE CALLS IT'S 48 HOURS LATER. I WAS INFORMED WHEN I PAID FOR MY AD THAT THE AVERAGE SELL TIME ON ITEMS LIKE BOATS WAS LESS THAN 30 DAYS AND THAT ALL I HAD TO DO WAS SEND ANY INTERESTED BUYERS TO THEM AND THEY'D HANDLE ALL FINANCING AND EVERYTHING. HOWEVER, WHEN YOU CALL THE SO CALLED "CUSTOMER SERVICE" LINE FOR FINANCING YOU GET A AUTOMATED MESSAGE FROM A LADY WITH A HEAVY BRITISH ACCENT ASKING YOU TO LEAVE A MESSAGE BECAUSE "ALL AGENTS ARE BUSY". I POSED AS AN INTERESTED BUYER OF MY OWN BOAT AND CALLED THE NUMBER AND LEFT 3 MESSAGES OVER TWO DAYS BEFORE SOMEONE CALLED ME BACK 48 HOURS AFTER MY LAST MESSAGE. ONCE THEY CALLED ME I INFORMED THEM OF MY DISSATISFACTION WITH THEIR SERVICE AND GOT THE USUAL BS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT IS A SCAM!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY $299 PAID FOR BUT IT WAS NOT WORTH ONE PENNY!!!

I was scammed by Lesley
I have sold lots of things on craigslist. Including a vehicle, a camper, and a karaoke machine. I have 3 other vehicles up for sale on craigs list, and though I do get scam emails for them, I know which are legit and which aren't. I will admit I am stupid, though. I got a call from a woman named Lesley from Expert Autos. I had recieved other calls from similar companies all wanting $400 or more. This lovely Lesley who called me tells me she can sell it for just $229. I acted interested, but I really didn't have $229 at the time. She told me I was low-balling the price of my vehicle on craigslist and she could sell it for more. She said that Expert Autos gives financing to ANYONE despite their credit for only $500 down. So these "poor people with bad credit will do ANYTHING including pay more for a vehicle than it's worth just to get financing"... WELL LESLEY... I am one of those POOR PEOPLE you are talking about. I have bad credit (only due to an identity theft by my ex boyfriend 5 years ago, and by no fault of my own). I can't get a loan. I explained to her that I was one of those poor people and I could not afford to pay $229 to have her sell my car, and that I just had a new baby and that my husband was out of work. I explained that the reason I was selling my vehicle was because I could not afford to make payments on it only bringing in $520 a month. So she lowered the price to $129. I bit when she gave me that price. I borrowed the money from my mom promising to pay her back when my vehicle sold for the price I had it listed. Well, it has been a month since I listed it with Expert Autos. I called her after the 1st week because I couldn't find my vehicle even on Expert Autos when I did a search. The only way I found it was by signing in and viewing it. I have gotten only 1 scam hit on my vehicle... no legit ones. And I swear to Pete, Lesley... if you call me sweetie the next time I call I'm going to VOMIT! I got taken. She said that my listing was there and I had recieved 15 hits on it already... well... THOSE HITS WERE PROBABLY ME CHECKING MY AD! DUMB DUMB DUMB!!! Yep... that is me! DUMB! And I really am not one to fall for these things. But when you are poor, you are desperate. So now, my 12 week old daughter is about to starve because all of my money has to go to my payments for my vehicle that is NOT selling AT ALL! And as for listing it on major search engines? I have searched for it many many many times and she said it is on Lycos... UMMM NO! IT ISNT! She said I must be typing in the wrong thing or spelling it wrong... I am a spelling champion, and I think I would know how to spell the make and model of my own vehicle. I'm not that dumb! When I went back to check if my ad came up when I searched after talking to Lesley it was the first one on there, as if she hurried up and listed it as we were on the phone. I have a right to know how many vehicles were sold by Expert Autos. It is public info and required by law that all business disclose this type of information, as well as the number and types of complaints. As for Mark M... If your precious company was ANY good at all you would want to disclose how many happy customers you have. You don't have to say names, but give researchable numbers at least to how many sales the company has made since the opening in January 2009. I plan on calling Lesley tomorrow and demanding my money back and removing my ad. If she doesn't give me my money back I will find her and meet with her in person with my Lawyer. Because unlike Expert Autos, Prepaid Legal is a legit and lovely company to have at hand. I'd love to take a trip to Las Vegas for a second honeymoon with my hubby! I want my money back and I will go to any length to get it. ANY LENGTH. Even spend money on gas to get to Las Vegas. I hope no one else pays for this, though I know they will. You are all crooks, Expert Autos Associates! How could you steal from the poor to line your pockets? Steal from a woman who has a brand new baby that she needs to provide for? SICK SICK SICK. Feel free to email me. Maybe we CAN all get something going to sue their butts! My email address is [email protected] and my name is Joy. Just put Sue Expert Autos in the subject line. Thanks folks for reading this, and I really hope I get a response from Mr Mark M... LOL! Wouldn't that be nice?

Helping to sell your car, online. Like Autotrader.
These guys are nothing but SCAMMERS!!! You'll get a call from them when you try to sell your car on Autotrader, or Craigslist. They say that they'll "advertise" your car on their exclusive websites, etc. You can either pay $99 for the basic service for 3 months, or $299 for a "run til it sells" deal. I did see my car linked to another site (I think it was Lycos) but that was it, just ONE!. Plus, this is the worst part of it. All 6 replies about my car, that I got from the Expertautos website, were those Western Union check cashing scams!!! In fact, two of the replies were exactly the same. The guy I talked to was Curtis Russell. Sounded VERY professional. Their website even has a link to warn you about fraudulent emails and scams. After signing up with them for the basic $99 deal, I got a call from another similar company that wanted to also advertise my car, except their prices were much higher. ($199 or $499!!!) I only lost $99, thank GOD! Don't waste your time with these clowns. Stick with Autotrader, Craigslist, eBay, etc.

Here is one of the emails. Just read it and tell me it doesn't sound like a 419 scam from Nigeria...

Notice the urgency of the email and horrible grammar? Please take this warning to heart. I have read a few other complaints about Expert Autos. They used to be another company by name. Just stick to the regular auto selling internet services that you already know of. You've been warned.
