cannot reach them to settle problems
I booked with exploretrip.com - trying to reach them on the phone is almost impossible and the internet is not much better - seems links on the phone for information about your booking don't seem wo "work" is this intentional? Once they get your money you can "whistle Dixie?"

Stay away from these crooks for a thousand miles
Basically exploretrip.com people are crooks and liars. I had to cancel my ticket due to illness of my girlfriend. We had ticket insurance, but getting it requires a letter from the ticket seller that we didn't get anything back. Explore trip first said we need to pay additional $600 and wait for the month and they will return the money. Then they didn't return anything and promised in e-mail to send the letter. Then after 15 more phone calls they said they will not send the letter which means i don't get anything form insurance. Every time you call, they lie that the manager is out and he will call and he never calls. In the end they offered to give us credit on explore trip, which means for sure that they got money back from the airline but wouldn't give it back to us. Stay away from these crooks for a thousand miles. We will.

Its 'cheap' fares are quite simply bogus and above all it doesn't deliver you a ticket
Please avoid this website like the plague!!! Its 'cheap' fares are quite simply bogus and above all it doesn't deliver you a ticket, even if you pay full, high prices for tickets. Yesterday I found a great fare to Europe on the site, pressed 'select' and then entered all the information for 3 travellers.When it came to purchase, a message popped up saying that 'this itinerary is no longer available' and I was re-routed to other fares, much more expensive and the same as airlines' own websites basically. This was only the start, though. I continued and eventually found another decent fare for a flight the following day, booked it, entered credit details and then purchased the ticket. This time I got a confirmation, including an email saying that my e-tickets would be mailed within 3 hours. A day later, the tickets never showed up, despite the flight being only hours away. I tried calling customer service but nobody answered the phone - I wasn't even able to leave a message as their voice mail system was full!! Trying to email them, I received no reply. Basically this is a shambolic outfit and can not offer the reliability one requires for good travel. Please avoid this site and stick with a more reputable company. The low fares on this site are really only illusory.

exploretrip.com is a scam
Exploretrip.com customer service sucks. booked a flight from exploretrip.com online. later, no reply from them. when i called, they said, airlines increased the fare. That is too false. when the booking was made, they took my credit card details.
GUYS, BEWARE OF THE SCAM. lost patience in calling exploretrip.com customer service.
Although it is few bucks cheaper, BETTER go with any website that you feel genuine.

Booked us on a different flight and did not tell us
I was really excited to find cheap flights on ExploreTrip's site from Washington DC to San Francisco and then to Sydney. But the day before the flight I tried to do an online check-in and learned that I was placed on a different flight than my ticket said: it was 8, 5 hours later! It totally ruined my plans, so I kept calling the customer service to see if they could still issue me the original ticket. First they blamed the airline but when I talked with the airline, they explained that ExploreTrip had made a mistake and not confirmed our booking with the airline on time, and then they had confirmed a different flight without telling me! Despite the promises of the customer service to put me on another flight, they never returned to the calls. Later, we wrote and official complaint and got no reply at all. Not only the failed to communicate to us that they made a mistake, but also the failed to provide even most basic customer service. I am just happy that they did not put me on a flight 8, 5 hours earlier!

Charged extra money
EXPLORETRIP.COM is THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I have bought a round-trip ticket through them for $549 (after all the taxes and fees). The confirmation came right away, somehow not stating the price. Next day I've checked my bank account to find out that they have charged me $589 instead. I called them and they told me that I bought the ticket for this price and sent me the itinerary. I went to their site, found the same flight to see the $552 price. I told the peson I was speaking with (Sam) to connect me to the manager. He wasn't available and I had to call back several times that week to finally get ahold of him. The manager (Arthur) explained the mistake as some glitch in the system, because charges went up and I got charged later that day (when their site was still showing $552????) So he said he can either refund the ticket or send me a $20 refund as an excuse. By that time it was late to buy a ticket from another site - the prices were already higher, so I agreed to $20. It's been 2 months after they were supposed to send it and the check hasn't come in yet. I've called them several times and they either say that the manager is not available or simply hang up on me. I'll file the complaint with Better Business Bureau, too.
