Did not directly apply to this company, applied to an ad and a rep from this company called me. Said rep has the potential to be very good at his job, as he has a great personality making you feel motivated and at ease. It was all downhill from there. Made appointment, , went through whole process, application, testing, interview, etc., was there for hours. Said rep asked me to send my resume directly to his email when I returned home, as the copy he had printed had the Craigslist junk across the upper part. Now you have to wonder, why did he not just copy and paste it into Word and print it himself? But ok, maybe that it too far a stretch. Not a thing.
Said rep advised me to bring my two forms of id, which were never asked for.
Said rep advised that he would be sending me home with obligatory new hire packet.
Said rep advised that he had emailed me links to job skill tutorials as I was sitting there.
After returning home, I checked my email and found nothing. Not a thing, perhaps he had my email wrong. Sent "clean" resume and then in separate email, questions, thoughts about interview and asked for tutorials.
Days pass.
No response.
Not a thing, perhaps I had his email wrong, so I called office and verified. Yes, email is correct, yes said rep is on office. Interesting. Don't you get paid for finding me a job? Don't you have quotas to have to meet?
Again, I emailed. Again, no response.
While I have no specialized skill set that sets me apart, I have been in the workforce for a very long time and do have skills. Along with that I have a strong work ethic, sense of pride about my job, excellent references and a stable work history. So while I understand that I may not be a standout to some, I am head and shoulders above the others I saw in your office, that came in groups (friends), in torn and too tight street clothes, flip flops, playing on their cell phones, smacking gum and cursing loudly in the waiting room.
And you, said rep, didn't get back in touch with me?
I don't get that.
