I have successfully avoided online scams for many years. The Extreme Acai Berry weight-loss tablets finally got me. I ordered their "free" trial, and another one from a similar outfit, for the price of shipping. One website gave me no receipt to print out, and I saw no statements of terms and conditions involving memberships or other monthly shipment programs. Weeks later my credit card statement showed, in addition to the two modest shipping charges, unauthorized charges of $89.31 (MYEZTRIM 877-8591105 UT), $29.95 (www.fit-fac.com 866-4071022 NV), and $8.51 (PRICELIMBO.COM 877-3508480 UT. I called all three numbers and got phone-bank robo-replies and prepared-text responses about how failure to cancel the future auto-shipments and memberships I never knowingly authorized resulted in these charges. I told them that if it's all in the fine print, the print is much too fine, and please cancel anything that must be canceled to prevent further charges. I got three different confirmation numbers for these actions. When one voice asked if there was anything more he could do for me, I said his employers had already done quite enough, and recommended that he find a job with a business that isn't a SCAM. Is there something about life in Utah and Nevada that makes people want to work for such dishonest businesses?
