Scam
Hello,
Do not look at this site if you are looking at grant information. They had a program for $1.99 to just open the account to view what they have availabe. I changed my mind and clicked off the site. They ran with it and automatically charged my credit card $78.00 last month and another $75.00 this month. They said their was a 7 day free trial and if I did not respond, I was automatically charged. I finally got ahold of them (took weeks) and they agreed to cancel the account before they took the next $75.00 out of my account. They would not refund my money even if I returned the unopened CD that they sent me in the mail. I let them know that this was dirty business. I did not even know I was signed up until they charged my bank account. Don't let this happen to you. You won't get your money back.

Overcharge
I applied for a cd which only cost $1.97. they did not indicate in plain terms that I would be charged anything extra for reviewing the CD. I did not even receive the CD before I was charged $64.43 and then subsequently for 3 months. I wish to refunded all these fraudulent charges.

Unauthorized Amount Charged
I ordered a "free" DVD in order to do some research on available grant money and agreed to pay $1.75 on my credit card for shipping and handling. I just looked at my bank statement and EZ Grant Pro charged me $78.75. I have filed a disputed claim with my bank but based on reading all of the other complaints, I am not hopeful about getting my money back.
There are quite a few complaints on here about EZ Pro. Anyone know anything about starting a class action lawsuit against these people? They need to be stopped!

Hidden Charges
Filled out an offer understanding I would be charged a few dollars. I was led to it by another offer for a gift card if I filled out one of their sponsor's forms.
A few days later, I got charged almost $80 I called their customer service, and they said it was a monthly service fee, and that it was in the Terms and Conditions of the offer. None of this was even hinted at, however, on the actual site, which said you get a "FREE CD, YOU ONLY PAY $X.XX S&H"
Someone needs to shut them down for false advertising.
Oh, and I never did get my gift card, either.

Additional Charges
I purchased the EZ GRant Pro CD for $2.29 (which I have never received) and then noticed an additional debit charge for around $65 (unauthorized). I called them and inquired about the additional charge and was informed that the $2.29 was for a 7 day trial and that the additional charge was for the actual program (which I was never informed of). I requested a credit of my money as I did not want to continue with the program, to which I was informed a very irritated "NO" to. The idea behind researching grant money is so that I can develop/build my buisness, but apparently the idea behind the EZ Grant Pro business is much different. Their idea is to take money for services/items not provided. Luckily my bank will work with me to dispute the claim and change my account number so that no further funds can be debited. Please beware of this company and their fraudulent practices.

Fine Print/Unauthorized Charges
I am a 32-year-old mom of five children. I recently decided that it is time for me to return to college to finish my nursing degree. Despite the fact that we are a single income family we somehow manage to make too much money (in Uncle Sam's opinion) to warrant a grant through Pell. I decided that I needed to scour the Internet in search of the help that I needed. I found a very interesting website at: http://www.governmentgrants2009.com/scams.php?t202id=11893&t202kw=&OVRAW=grants&OVKEY=grants&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=6686214013&OVKWID=72462746513
This site claims to have investigated (on my behalf) the grant companies out there to bring me the best 3 on the market. On that particular day (6/29/09) EZ Grant Pro was their number one option. (Interesting side note: They have updated this site as of 7/13/09 to list Grants 360 as their number one and EZ Grant Pro isn't there...gee this is funny...as I write this it is exactly midnight on 7/13...I bet that all of these companies are marketed by the same people and a mega computer)
They advertised that the site was FREE (note the use of all capitals!) with the highest user rating. For only the cost of shipping you can't go wrong according to them. I figured that I could afford to lose $1.97. So I went to the site and ordered the CD. I skimmed through the fine print but didn't see anything telling me that I would be charged $78.75 four days later!!! I found the website to be a complete waste of my time offering me absoluely no help at all. I couldn't even find the advertised information about grants for moms. As I got up from the computer I muttered to my husband that I was glad that I only wasted $1.97!
Obviously I noticed charges on my statement and immediately called customer support for Lead Source Solutions (the company that the charges were listed under). I told the lady my predicament but she was less than enthusiastic to help me out. I am sure that she gets no breaks in between the complaint calls. She cancelled my service and provided me with a confirmation number. When I asked her how long I would need to wait to get my money back, she informed me that I had agreed to the terms and conditions and that they had logged my IP for verification of this. I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told that I could not speak to one. I asked several times for a supervisor but they were "in a meeting." When I asked her what company the charges were placed through she was unable to provide me with even THIS small bit of information because they market so many companies. (She finally released the name of EZ Grant Pro and I later did see this name on my original $1.97 charge.) She got so frustrated with me that she told me that if I wanted help that I would just need to call back and get someone else...so I did.
I called right back and got a representative by the name of Thomas. I asked Thomas about removing the charges but got the same excuse. I asked him to provide me with the address for the company so that I could include it in my complaint letter to the BBB and the Attorney General's office. He provided me with the address you see listed here. I saw that another complaint letter had a similar address but out of California.
This company is worse than a scam. It is reaching into the pockets of Americans who are genuinely searching for a way to better their lives honestly. I hope that my complaint reaches the ears of someone who can help. I would love to see a class action brought against this company. But you can bet your overdraft charges that all of your complaint letters will be included with mine when I send my packets off to the BBB and AG's.
