I thought I was downloading Open Office, which I didn't get. What downloaded instead were two programs, one by EZ Tracks and the other LoveFreeGames. I want neither of them and I believe they are possibly even malware. I immediately acted to uninstall them, only to find they don't have an uninstall and are not on the program list in my computers uninstall. I am not all that computer savvy, but after searching I found the possibly of using System Restore to put my computer where it was before the download, unsuccessfully twice. More searching and the Windows 7 information site was useless in this instance. Several hours now working on this. I discovered in my computer program files a folder for Atrinsic which I had earlier thought was a necessary computer file. But I knew the shortcuts had to come from somewhere so I dared to open it [I don't like to be in that part of my computer for fear of messing something important up]. I found the Atrinsic folder only had two programs, EZ Tracks and LoveFreeGames. So I had now found them put still can't find a way to uninstall them. I do know that just deleting them doesn't remove them from the harddrive.
I am stressed out, tired from working on this and no better off than when I started, except for now I know the source of my exceptional irritation. They have no right to overtake my computer by fraudulent means. I want these programs removed. I have very limited income and shouldn't have to buy a program that 'might' be able to remove the programs if it can track the paths correctly. What can I do?
