In Feb. 2009, I paid $9105 to have a bathroom tub to shower conversion done. Both the manager, Robert Garcia, and the contract stated "A-1 satisfaction guaranteed". However the shower grouting began to crack after two years which exposed a major problem. A leak appeared on the ceiling on the floor below the shower. Mr. Garcia came to look but did not even turn the water on to test. He stated that the problem was caused by the shower door that he recommended and installed and said that another $1335 for a different shower door would solve the problem.
Since I was skeptical of his diagnosis, I got a licensed plumber to look at the leak. The plumber cut a hole in the ceiling below and did a shower pan test. Water leaked right through the cracks and the shower pan was not capable of holding the water. The plumber recommended that the shower pan be replaced. I got two quotes to rip out the incompetent installation done by Robert Garcia of Protile, dba Ezaccessbathrooms.com. Both quotes are for over $9800 to redo the job.
When Mr. Garcia realized that he could not scam additional dollars from me, he ceased to respond. I tried to call him when the plumber was here so that he could speak to the plumber directly and ask any questions. He refused to take my call since he apparently realized that he botched the installation.
This company markets primarily to senior citizens and touts their Better Business Bureau standing. However they have failed to respond to BBB regarding this and their rating has been lowered to D-.
