Bad Dealership
Ok, this place is a complete rip off. Im not just a regular customer i know these guys personally, so please take my advice. Lets start with the receptionist. When ever you call to speak to management for whatever your problem is they always say can they take a message when they know the manager is right in his office not doing anything. Then management never returns your call that day or takes a long time to return it. The African American guy that works there i forget his name he's apart of management, but he is very disrespectful to customers. He might seem nice in the beginning just to get you n the car but watch how his attitude changes when you start having problems. Now the Dealership knows that when you come to them that 9 times out of 10 your credit is screwed and you have a hard time getting stuff in your name, like for example when you go to your regular name brand dealership point blank you will not drive off that lot unless your credit score is up to par with whatever that dealerships standards maybe. So basically the customers feelings are hurt about that(not all of you but the majority of you), so that when you guys come running to dealerships like falls church motors and end up getting rip off and treated badly all because you saw that advertisement in the paper or craigslist with that nice car saying put 3, 000 down and drive off the lot the same day. It gets people every time. So since they know this they have you rite where they want you so they can charge you what they want. Ok so back to falls church motors, they get all there cars from the auto auction every week, Chris May(owner) buys them. When they come to the lot they look nice al give them that but dont let these looks fool you. When you taking a look at these care please bring somebody like a personal mechanic with you to look under the hood to save you time and lots of money. You have to keep in mind when dealing with salesmen, ok that is there career, its what putting food on there table so they will do anything and i repeat anything just to get you to buy that car. They dont care about your safety or any of that nice stuff they told you it just part of there job point blank they are con-artist in de skies. Now after you comment to buying a car you go in the office to close to most of the time it the two spanish ladies Naomi and Mya who does the closing now this is what most of the customers have a big misunderstanding cause what you(customer) and your salesmen talked about far as pricing wise is not what on those contract papers so just for example (not real prices just example)after the salesmen told you your car was going be 2, 000 by the time you get to the back you find out it actually 6, 000 you gotta pay after they done added all them warentys and taxes to your total cost. Which isnt worth it but since they no you pretty much have no choice your just goin breeze threw the papers. People please read every last one of them papers i mean every page even if you have to take it with you and come back because it some some stuff in there that sets you up for failure in the future. When they are explaining stuff to you the skip over pages and say this is all the same thing and this paper goes with that just to get you out of there office fast. Bottle line read everything if you have to go there . It more about this place so dont even bother with that place after what i just said

Fraudulent and Scam filled Auto sales
I bought a used 1999 Buick Regal from Falls Church Motors on August 6th 2010. I have had continuous repair issues with the vehicle since I purchased it. The first issue being within the same week of purchase. The car came with a 30 day warranty from the dealership and I bought a 2yr/24, 000 mile extended warranty. I am not sure of the law on this issue but I have had several communications with Falls Church Motors representatives about either a refund of my money or a vehicle that meets my needs. All of my request have gone either unanswered or not to my satisfaction. I have suffered out of pocket cost and hardships from lost wages, repair fees, and rental vehicle cost. My family which consist of three small children and myself have been put in a considerable amount of danger because of this vehicle. I am at my wits end and dont know what options I have. Currently the car is in terrible condititon and in need of a new engine which they are trying to charge me a fee of $852.20. The car was in their possesion from April 1st through the 28th being evaluated from a fire that occured in the engine compartment. They replaced some damaged parts and wiring. It was returned to me with the assurance that the car was safe to drive and in good condition. I returned to the shop on May 2nd with the car rattling and shaking barely making it there and now the car needs a new engine. The car has had a new turn signaland wiring, motor blower, radiator, thermostat, water pump, hose, intake manifold, intake gasket, spark plugs, and odometer. It is being told to me that under my warranty I am obligated to pay a deductible of $100.00 per part replaced. I am out of resources on fixing this vehicle.
I sent a complaint to the BBB about this detailing everything that I displayed above. They answered the complaint having this to say.
Dear Mr. Dennis,
We are aware of Mrs. Barnes frustrations with her vehicle. We have expressed to her that we can not promise her nor guarantee her that the vehicle won’t ever have mechanical issues. We sell used vehicles and Mrs. Barnes fully understands this and understands that the responsibilities of repairs comes along with the purchase of a vehicle. We have given her the option to trade into another vehicle upon receipt of the down payment that would be required. Mrs. Barnes has also expressed to us her financial hardship so we have also given her the option of repairing her vehicle at half the cost to her. The total repair is $1704.40 that of which Mrs. Barnes would pay $852.20. These are the only options we are able to offer Mrs. Barnes to help her with her vehicle.
Sincerely,
Lisa Baumbach, General Manager
I responded back to them with the message below and nothing has been done about this vehicle as of yet.
I am rejecting this response because: Although I understand that buying any vehicle new or used I take on a risk of a mechanical failure, I feel that I have assumed enough financial responsiblity and hardship due to this vehicle. This vehicle has cost me well over what I intended to pay in repair cost and rental vehicles, I have suffered lost wages, and my family and I have been put into very dangerous situations because of this vehicle were we could have been seriously injured or killed. I do not feel safe in this vehicle. I am not confident in the previous work that Falls Church Motors service department has done to the vehicle and I am refusing to have my family in this vehicle under the direction of a service department that has repeatedly put my family at risk. I have been stranded with my children on several occasions, I have missed appointments for my middle child who has a disability, and I have missed valuable time at work. I have also spent hundreds of dollars on rental vehicles during my course of mechanical failures with this car. This car has cost me countless nights worrying and become the single most stressful thing in my life. I have never defaulted on any payment towards the financing of my car, and I have paid for every deductible in the work that has previously been done to the vehicle. I have been very patient and diligent in my talks with Falls Church Motors representatives. I have held up my end of the bargain and it is time for Falls Church Motors to accept responsiblity for this vehicle and provide my family with return funds for this vehicle or a vehicle that they can gaurantee us that we can be safe in at no extra cost to me. I feel that what i am asking is fair and suitable based on the history that I have had with this vehicle.
Regards,
Daphney
I am in the process of seeking out a lawyer to help me with this vehicle and was not aware that there were others like me who have scammed by this dealership. if anyone has any information thaat could help me out in this process i would be glad to hear anything that anyone has to say. This dealership is in bad business and needs to be stopped from selling these dangerous vehicles to people. does someone has to get seriously injured or even killed before someone takes a stand and stops them from selling these cars to unsuspecting buyers.

Used Car
I read y'alls complaints and I can't believe it cuz I bought my car at Falls Church Motors and yeah I had a few things that went bad like my fuel pump and yeah I was annoyed about it for sure but my husband said that it's a used car and you gotta expect things might go bad but I did pay for the warranty so I had the car towed to them and they fixed it for us with a $100 deductible. They was so professional and never had any problems with having them fix stuff that broke. I don't know I guess it depends on what kinda car you get but I just wanted to say they aren't as bad as the stuff some others wrote. You have to check the oil anyway you can't just wait till the light comes on! Lol that's just like waiting for lights to come on saying your gas is low or something. I think they deserve some props too so I say Falls Church Motors is a pretty good place.

Beware These Unethical Liars
I purchased a 2002 Nissan Altima from Falls Church Motors on July 3, 2010 at approximately 12 noon. Sammy's (sales person) first comment upon my visual inspection of the car was "We just put brand new tires on it for you." Upon test drive, the first thing I noticed was that the LED display on the radio didn't work, and that there was several knobs and an interior light missing inside the car. When driving, the car also pulled quite a bit to the right. I was told by Sammy, the sales person, that the alignment would be fixed before I left with the car. Upon visual inspection of the exterior, the first thing I discovered was very obvious accident damage to both driver's side door, which had been covered up with a shoddy paint job (bubbled up paint). I mentioned these defects to Jack Keller (sales mgr) and was told that they were minor problems, and that the important thing was that I was receiving a "mechanically sound" vehicle. HA!!! Little did I know. While I did paperwork, Sammy took the car to the service department to have the alignment fixed before I left. For some reason, the service tech took the car for a test drive and stayed gone no less than 45 minutes to an hour...very strange (he was probably trying to get the check engine light off before he brought the car back to me). Sammy indicated to me that the alignment had been fixed. He said the only problem was that one of the tires was low on air, and that putting air in the tire fixed the problem. (Hmmm. What happened to the "brand new tires?")
One thing I found very odd was a statement made by the lady who had me fill out my paperwork. I purchased the extended (worthless) warranty. As I was asking the lady about it, she made sure to point out at least twice "We don't cover check engine lights." My response to her was "So if I drive off this lot and the engine light comes on, I'm screwed?" Her response was that they'd look at it on a case-by-case basis. This entire conversation was recorded.
I finally got on the road back to Baltimore when I noticed that the alignment was just the same or worse than before. I got home, parked the car, took a nap and didn't attempt to drive the car again until 8 pm. When I turned the key, the car wouldn't start. I tried this about 5 times before it finally started and when it did, the check engine light came on. I drove the car to the store around the block only to have it stall in traffic, narrowly missing being hit by another car. After 5 or so attempts, I started it again and drove it back home. Before I ever got home, one of the fog lights died. When I got home and turned off the vehicle, a whining sound started coming from underneath the hood.
I called Sammy on his cell, and he told me to call the service department on the next business day (this was 4th of July weekend). However, in the meantime, I had the car taken to a mechanic. It was then that I found out this model is notorious for bad catalytic converters that break up and damage the engines. The mechanic told me the catalytic converter on the car was bad, and that it had in fact done that. He also told me the alignment problem was due to bad bushings. On that business day, I called and spoke to Jack Keller (sales mgr) and told him what the mechanic had said. Not surprisingly, his entire attitude had changed from the day I purchased the car. I told him about the problems w/the car only to have him show a lack of concern and transfer me to the service department. When I asked him if the cost would be covered under my extended warranty and what kind of costs, exactly, I'd be looking at, he indicated that it would be "unfair to HIM" to give me that information. Are you serious...unfair to HIM? I spoke w/the service deparment and, again, got no help. I was simply told to bring it in, sit and wait and see if they could fix the car. What? I live in Baltimore? They were not willing to tow the car, and when I asked if they could put me in something else temporarily or a rental car, or what I would do if I got stuck in VA and they couldn't fix the car immediately, they told me there was a rental car spot in the area that I could go to and rent on at my expense.
I drove that raggedy, rickety bastard back to Virginia, walked into Jack Keller's office, dropped his keys on his desk and told him to keep his piece of crap. (Had it broken down on my on the way there, I would've left it right where it rested and gone back to Baltimore). I then asked if I could get my $1500 deposit back (I had only had the car for less than 3 days and never made a payment, nor could I ever get it inspected so it could be registered in MD because the check engine light would've caused it to fail). When I asked for my money, he said nothing...simply stood there like a bump on a log. I walked outside and back to my sister's truck when Jack approached from behind and asked if I'd like them to fix the vehicle. Sorry, too little, too late. I told him I had no interest in his vehicle or his company, didn't want the car and didn't appreciate the dangerous situation he put me in by selling me that heap. He walked away...good move, buddy.
I filed a dispute w/my bank regarding the $1500, and it has been temporarily credited back to me. I have received at least 2 calls from Lisa Baumbach (gen. mgr) and told her I do not want the car, nor do I want if fixed. Even after this, I received a call from someone asking what was up w/my insurance on the car. I asked her why would I insure THEIR car, and told her not to call my phone again. A few days ago, I received certified mail from Falls Church Motors (Lisa again) indicating that all repairs, including a new catalytic converter, had been made "per my request, " after specifically telling them not to fix the vehicle on my behalf because I had no intentions of ever seeing it again. The letter also stated that if they didn't hear back from me, they would repo the car, hold it for 10 days and sell it at auction, leaving me stuck w/the balance. In their dreams. I sent them a little certified letter of my own yesterday.
I have since found numerous Ripoff Reports, BBB complaints and other derogatory information about this dealership that I wish I had found beforehand. They need to be sued and put out of business for their illegal practices, including selling junk cars for thousands over the actual value and failing to accurately report to Carfax. I wonder if anyone has ever purchased a car from them that has lasted for 30 days w/out having to go back in for service.

FRADULENT AND UNETHICAL PRACTICES
I went to Falls Church Motors in June 2009 and purchased a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Going to this dealership was the BIGGEST MISTAKE of my LIFE! I was charged over $15, 000.00 for a truck that within 2.5 months had major transmission repairs, radiator replacement, window regulator replacement, and over 1000.00 in repairs for my A/C ( one day after purchase). I too asked for a loaner car considering that I had JUST PURCHASED IT 1 DAY PRIOR! However, when I came in, they acted as if they were irritated that I came back already. I was ignored and getting help from management took at least 3 hours.
In September I lost my job due to my company being acquired by a much larger corporation. While I was looking for a new job and waiting on my unemployment, I went to the dealership/Tracker Finance and told them my situation. They were unsympathetic and cold. I asked to talk to the manager, but was told he wasn't there at that moment and that he'd call me back. Well, I go to my car the next day and my car was GONE! These jerks repo'd it! I couldn't believe it! After all, I made every previous payment EARLY! NEVER LATE! Then they wanted to charge me a $450.00 repo fee and 25.00/ day storage lot fee. I caught Antwan, the finance manager in several lies. First, he told me that he couldn't tell me who towed my car..that it was " inside info". I told him that I know that Falls Church Motors has their own wrecker and they repo their own cars! Then he said that he would "waive the 25.00/ day storage fee. I told him that he had no authority to not charge me the storage fee if an outside repo company towed my car. He also told me, " Well, this is why we do this; we just wait til someone misses a payment and then use it as an excuse to repo the car." I was so upset. I didn't duck or dodge payments. I was a good customer! Now instead of easily paying my normal car note, he asked for over 800 dollars!!! I was told "800 dollars, and you get your car back." HA! Good thing I didn't have it to give to them!!! I received a letter 2 days later...stating that the truck was being sold ar FREDERICKSBURG AUTO AUCTION and that I cold either bid on the car with the rest of the people, OR pay off the truck entirely...and THAT'S the only way to get it back. So, had I given them the 800$, they wouldn't have given me my truck back anyways.
This dealership claims they're "Christian based" - sorry, but the God I worship wouldn't have never been so quick to do something that wold have caused so much strife in such a difficult time. Not only did I loose my job, my fiancee had his hours and pay cut down, and now we have no car. Even after being honest and upfront with them, it made no difference what-so-ever. Thanks again FALLS CHURCH MOTORS, for making our holiday such a memorable one.

Fraud and cheating
I visited Falls Church Motors on April 30, 2008. Darrell 'Doc' Freeman introduced himself. We talked briefly and made our way to the lot. The choice was made on a 1990 Toyota 4Runner. BAD CHOICE. I mentioned to Mr. Freeman that I thought the engine was rather loud, and upon making a sharp left turn, the axel made a loud clicking noise. I also mentioned that the oil pressure gage was rather low. I was assured by Mr. Freeman that this was normal.
On or about July 17, 2008, The vehicle blew a head gasket. Now I'm no mechanic but I do know that when fluids in a vehicle get below a certain point, some sort of warning sign will go off to let you know that there will be a problem soon. When oil gets low, it is usually followed by a little red picture of an oil container somewhere on the dash. In this case no warning signs of any sort went off at all.
Truck blew a head gasket. I requested a loaner car but was declined. Forced to rent a car for three weeks, which cosed over $600.00. If that isn't enough, I was forced to pay $500.00 for the repair on the truck. They also thought that they were being Saints by knocking $500.00 of the price of the truck when I bought it because the sunroof didn't work. That means nothing because when it rains, I get rained on through the sunroof. I was told there was nothing they could do.
I attempted to try and trade the vehicle in and found out that the vehicle was considered TMU. I found this to be True Miles Undetermined. I also found that this vehicle shouldn't been sold. So now I'm stuck in a piece of crap for a car that I can't get out of, and no dealer wants to touch it because of this TMU rating. Please tell anybody, and everybody you know not to go to Falls Church Motors.
