Wrongful Termination/ General Complaint
I was fired for being on my cellphone by a regional manager named Steve. He claims he caught me on my phone during on of his very rare visits. He told the store manager to fire me without so much as a warning. What they didn't know and didn't even ask about was the fact that I was checking on my wife who has a mental illness and was very depressed because she had been home alone all day. She has been diagnose as having bipolar and schizophrenia and she has been suicidal in the past. I didn't want to reveal this info out respect for privacy but I havnnow forced to communicate this in an effort to get my job back and/or expose bad business practices. I knew the policy, but I believe family emergencies should addressed if need be. I made a quick call to wife and diffused a bad situation. I should not have been fired. My lawyer says I have a good case if I chose to go forward with it.

I would also like to say that this store has issues. It is always dirty. I would ask if the floor needed sweeping or mopping and would be told no. The bathrooms were always nasty. Management there is constanlty sitting outside in front of the store or in back office doing nothing. They are all constantly on their cell phones or the company phones on personal business. The store manager and the former first asst manager were having an affair. I caught them kissing. The store is always a mess. Employees were taking things without paying. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone for any reason.

I was told No Dogs & your Legal Department has made NO attempt to Settle with me.
The Family Dollar Store Located on 209 Exchange St Chicopee, MA 01013-1246 and the phone number is 413-592-4713...
Since I have tried several times to talk to your Legal Department with no response back to Settle on a amount! If your Legal Department will not talk to me I will file the Complaint with ADA so the ADA can bring it before the Department of Justice. Since the cashier told me I could no longer bring my Service Dog into the store and the Legal Department does refuse to talk to me or does talk to me over this ADA Violation so we can agree on a cash Settlement about this Complaint or I will have to file a ADA Complaint which will be brought before the DOJ as it will be stamped Negations Failed. If your Legal Department wishes to call me and see if we can settle on a amount after all the cashier broke the Law. You can't Blame the cashier since the new Manager told her this "No Dogs are allowed in the store". My dog is a Service Dog with a Vest which says SERVICE DOG - ACCESS REQUIRED! So if your wish to Fire someone, Fire the Manager for the Manager Broke Federal Laws not the cashier! I am sending a copy of this to the ADA to prove that I did try to Settle with Family Dollar so the Department of Justice can say Negations have failed! Keep putting this off and I will also file a ADA Complaint on how your store is a mess which will cost you $1, 000.00 a day until you clean up the store. Please get back to me ASAP!
Please don't blame the Cashier since the New Manager told her "No dogs in the store"! I have a Service Dog with a Vest that states SERVICE DOG - ACCESS REQUIRED! My Service Dog gives me commands so NOT just the Service Dog was trained, but so was I to understand each command! My Service Dog is by my side 24/7 in my Electric Wheel Chair or just at home in bed!

missing money, not counting money correctly, cheating me out of my money
i sent my daughter to the local Family Dollar store, and i sent her with the last $20 i had, the cashier took the money and put in that she recieved a $5 dollar bill, there is NOTHING that has been done to rectify the problem. WHat do i do?? i have to go without my change. They say that they counted her drawer and said one time that she was $2 off and the next time she was Even. that is impossible unless she was already short in her drawer. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!! i shop there basically on a daily basis. the gave her the corporate office number to call. i tried to call this number but as usual there is ONLY COMPUTER generated voices up there an NO WAY to actually talk to someone personally. i am so upset right now. What can i do to rectify this problem, they will NOT pull the cameras to view the evidence that she made this mistake!! WHY NOT, what do they have to hide??
