On Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 12:44pm, I was checking out in the Family Dollar, Store # 7873, in Miami Gardens, FL. First of all I am a handicapped person. I receive the weekly sale flyer and shop often at this local store but will rethink shopping there again after my recent trip there. I had a full shopping cart of items which were in the sale paper with coupons that I was hoping to use on this trip. I have never shopped there and was told that I could only use two coupons per day per customer. As I am handicapped and cannot go to the store very often, I found this to be very upsetting to me. And so did other customers in the line. The weekly sales paper did not state this anywhere in the paper either. Had I know that I would not have bothered to go there! Then to add more disgust I was told I could not take the full shopping cart of items I'd purchased anyway no further than the door at the stores entrance/exit doors! I asked if someone from the store could assist me and was told No. I told the cashier that my vehicle was parked right in front of the store in which she could seeand that the customer who offered to help me take my things to my car would bring the basket back in the store. I was still told No. The shopping carts have tall red poles attached to them as to keep the customers from taking them out of the store. Being handicapped in which the employees could plainly see, there is no way that I can walk back and forth again and again to place items in my vehicle. This was just absurd and not acceptable! I was about to ask for a refund wnen another customer in line offered to assist and help me. I think ur employees need better truing in how to deal th the public and also how they choose to talk to the customers. Tsurely shouldn't talk rude or with attitude to any customer. I am very upset with my treatment there and would like things to change before going there again.
