Membership Rewards Scam
Like everyone else on this message board, I was also scammed by Fandango and Membership Rewards. Fandango gave my credit card information to this company and when I called them for an explanation the fellow at Fandango was very rude and said that I signed up for this service and it was my fault. I did not sign up and they should not be allowed to give my credit card information to a third party. If this is not illegal it should be. Shame on you Fandango for participating in this scam!

Total scam
Fandango what a TOTAL SCAM! Anyone who has not bought tickets from this site DO NOT! They are a total scam & mislead you into thinking you can save time by useing their site. All this site does is ADD TIME & HEADACHE to your movie outting. PRIOR to purchasing our tickets I READ Fandangos "terms" which said I could choose to pick my tickets up at the theater OR print them out at home...Well I thought being able to purchase them online & PRINT THEM OUT AT HOME was the whole point!! That way we would not have to stand in those long lines on the weekend! So, I buy the tickets, print them out & they say to bring that printed out page, the EXACT credit card I used to purchase them with, an ID & pick up the "actual tickets" at the theater...You know AFTER YOU STAND IN THAT LONG LINE TO DO SO! And the kicker is I paid an extra $2.00 "CONVENIENCE CHARGE" to do all of this! How CONVENIENT is it to have to not only stand in the line you wanted to AVOID in the first place but now you have to remember to bring the "confirmation paper", the "exact credit card used" & ID with, or NO MOVIE for you. They also suggest you arrive a half hour early to make sure you have enough time to get your tickets picked up. Wow what am I taking a FLIGHT or seeing a movie!?!? And did I mention Fandango has a STRICT NO REFUND POLICY!

Horrible customer service
Fandango gives out promo codes for free tickets through vendors and themselves. I received one of these at Sundance and it has the expiration date of 2/2/09. When I went to use this on 2/2/09 it stated it was "EXPIRED". The general and complete rule of business practice is that a coupon is good THROUGH the day of expiration and not PRIOR. They do not state this practice of it expiring at 12:00am on that day by the code, and refuse to honor afterwards, even after complaints and their own cs agent agrees it is a poor practice. DON'T USE FANDANGO. Horrible customer service and deceptive business practice.

Charging $12.00 without authorization
I went on the website to purchase movie tickets. Fandango went ahead and charged me $12.00 dollars WITHOUT my authorization. It was never clear that I was being charged 12.00 dollars for some kind of membership. It suddenly showed up on my checking account. I never authorized this charge or this membership. I am very upset that Fandango would this and I will never use this site again.
Thank you.

Unauthorized charges
I bought tickets on line and also like many others that wanted to save $10 on next purchase. I was being charged $12 per month by 'Reservation rewards'. I called fandango up and left a message. Found out you need to call Rick Butler 310-954-0500 He's a Moron and needs the abuse. He's part of the scam.

Wrong Theater
I recently went on Fandango and purchased 2 sets of tickets. One was for a theater in the city of Plano, TX. The other was for a theater just south, Addison, TX 2 days later.
To my surprise, when I received the e-mail and wanted to print the tickets...the Addison tickets said Plano. I was surprised and have never heard from Fandango. The 800 number they list is only a movie listing. You will never find a person(s) to help you or adjust your tickets or ever exchange, much less refund you.
Don't ever use Fandango...they are ok sometimes, but no I realize they make mistakes and if you want them corrected, you will never get anyone to actually fix it, your stuck and they don't care.
Go ahead and save their stupid "convenience charge" and drive to the theater yourself. Fandango is a waste of time, money, and any problems you have will never be resolved.
Fandango...they have paper puppets cause thats who they hav working for the company.

Mix-up
Fandango is selling I-max tickets online for Lincoln Centre I-max in NYC for Batman "Black Knight." We bought 2 tickets for the 8:45 pm show 4 days in advance, but when you got to the theatre, we discovered that the show time was not in Imax. Loews Theatre refunded our ticket money, but we did not see the I-max version.
A long subway ride ($8.00 wasted), two hours out of our evening and no I-max "Black Knight." Loews says it cannot get Fandango to correct its listings, so Loews is dealing with unhappy customers for several shows a day.
