I bought a ticket from farecrawler.com for a flight from Los Angeles to Istanbul, flying Air France. After entering the passenger and credit card information, farecrawler.com came back with a completely different itinerary, using a combination of other carriers and stopover locations. Neither the hours, nor the carriers were what I wanted and what their site said earlier what I was getting. My email simply bounced back as undeliverable (in any case, they actually declare om their web page that you can't really do anything useful through email contact). They do not answer their phone, and they do not return calls, despite numerous messages left at their nonexistent "service". While they declare on their confirmation page that the reservation has be checked by them for "quality control" before it is finalized, they apparently charge the whole amount to the credit card immediately. We contacted our credit card company immediately after seeing the wrong itinerary, to refuse payment, but it was already charged and "pending". At the moment farecrawler.com seems to be nothing more than a fraudulent operation, pretending to find a certain deal, and then switching to something less desirable (and presumably pocketing the difference) in the hope of making it stick by refusing to be contacted. For all I know, even the undesirable "reservation" may be nonexistent. I can't tell because I can't talk or communicate with anyone.

I will revise/amend this complaint if farecrawler.com makes things right in the very near future, but I am not holding my breath.
