In March I ordered a bike for my daughter's birthday, was told it would arrive in April. Today is May 29 and it's still not here. Each week the owner, Steve, has lied to me and told me he "expects it on Friday." He was very rude on the phone and told me repeatedly that he is sick of me calling, even though the bike was supposed to be here two months ago!
Finally, I called the manufacturer, they said they have not had this bike in stock all year, and they still don't have one to send me. They said Fast Wheels has NOT paid for the bike, and is not obligated to do so (if it ever comes in).
I went to the store to ask for a refund, and Steve refused -- he came out from behind the counter and yelled at me, he said my money is "gone" and he "used it to pay the rent."
Obviously he would prefer that my bike never comes in because he has already spent my money on something else. He said that he doesn't have to give me a refund and "that's the law, " but he can't give me the bike either because THERE ISN'T ONE IN THE ENTIRE U.S., AND THERE HASN'T BEEN ALL YEAR. Apparently he thinks that he can just keep my money indefinitely... meanwhile my daughter's birthday is here and I don't have the bike, and can't buy a different one because FAST WHEELS BIKE SHOP IN CINCINNATI TOOK MY MONEY AND GAVE ME NOTHING.
