I have received 2 phone calls supposedly from different people; however, they sounded exactly the same. They spoke very broken English, mid-eastern accent and very difficult to understand.First caller said his name was Jerry Jackson said to call him back at 216-424-7064. When I attempted to do so the phone call was redirected to a Federal Dept. that said I had received the number from a "phishing" scam and that it was not real. The man had told me in the message that there was a lawsuit pending against me and that if I didn't respond my ssn (which he stated) would be "blacklisted", my drivers license would be cancelled, and 2 officers would be at my address(which he stated)to arrest me Monday morning. He wished me "the best of luck as these circumsances unfold before me." On Monday the second caller said his name was Officer John Brown (really!) again thick mid-eastern accent and badly broken English. He said to call him at 786-752-9135. He said my case would be downloaded to my county courthouse tomorrow and tomorrow morning an attorney and an officer would be out to arrest me. He told me to "God bless as I make my decision carefully on how to proceed." This time when I returned the call an answering machine picked up and said " Federal Crimes Investigation Dept., please leave a message and we will call you back". I left the message that they better shut their scam down right now! Oddly enough..the caller id on the first call was an 11 digit number, not 10.The second one came up 000-000-0000. How can I get
them to quit calling me. I feel stupid calling the police, but what else can I do. Can't block the number because they keep changing it.
