Lying about attempted delivery
This is ridiculous. I had some issues with Fedex and UPS before but this should be flat out illegal. I live in a residential complex with 8 building and a central office that closes at 6pm. They usually get all the Fedex and UPS packages for the resident.
I stayed home from work and never got a ring at the door, but upon checking the tracking it stated that the Delivery Exception occured. Customer was not present and Business Was closed!!! are you kidding me???
I went downstairs, there was NO door tag, and the office did not have my package.

When I called customer service they of course pretended to be stupid and claimed that the driver put in the notes that he was unable to reach anyone.. FLAT OUT LIES!

Perishable goods were shipped and I can kiss them goodbye because of this moron who was lazy to deliver.

Nonsense
I shipped an empty Bicycle carrier last winter. It is huge, and it was empty. I bought the best one as the company guarantees safety of packed bikes. I shipped a bike one way and shipped the empty case home. The case was "lost" in Fedex terminal.

The case cost about $600. Fedex made me search for all documentation I had and then without any explanation sent me $100 telling me the empty case was uninsured. This is nonsense. Now we must go to court and I made it my mission to tell the world to stay away from these greedy creeps.

Never again Fedex
I ordered my kids christmas gifts from a large online retailer. Order was shipped using 2 day shipping. It never turned up. After contacting the shipper they have said that Fedex lost the package 'in transit'. However the website says that the package is at 'fedex facility'. Now this is a pretty large box and weighed 68pounds. Tried to contact these folk to find out what is going on. Got an automated reply, but they never bothered to reply...

Never again FEDEX.

This stinks
I spent thousands of dollars on a device that was shipped with full insurance from a FedEx shipper and transported by FedEx Ground. The machine arrived broken in several ways and was inspected by a FedEx agent. He confirmed that the shipping had damaged the item but said that it wasn't their fault. How can this be? Now the agent who packed the box won't answer my dozens of attempts to call him. The full insurance I paid for is no use to me because they tell me I can't file the claim. The shipper has been paid and he is in Canada. It's pretty hard to go after him or the shipping agent, who is in Canada as well. Fedex caused $ 1500.00 in damage to my machine and it is costing my company thousands of dollars in down time. All the want to do is pass the buck. This stinks!!!

Bad Service
I hv order clothes online from RalphLauren. The package was supposed to be delivered on Dec 2. However, it came on Dec1 so I was not available to recieve it and got a door tag that told me they would came the next day.
Therfore, I waited a whole day from 11am to 4pm but there was no delivery! Then I checked online on Fedex website and found out that they missed me again! ( I was so confused that I didnt hear anyone knocking door...)
At the same day, after 5pm, I checked online again and I was told to pick up my package by myself at the Fedex station where is 5.31mi away from me!
Then I called 1.800 to ask for changing the pick-up location. The representative was so RUDE and the attitude was so BAD!!! After I stated my problem. He just tell me the original pick-up location, then he was ignoring me in the phone, didnt answer my other questions, and keep slinent!!! (there was no communication anymore so I hang up the phone!)
So I called the second time, which s another representative answered. This time, the female representative's attitude was also not good but still better than the previous one! For my request, she said that she couldn't help and keep on asking me to pick up my package by myself even I have told her that Fedex station is really far from me and I am new in Seattle, not a driver and don't how to get there by any transportation. Unfortunately, she still didn't help and said the shipper didn't allow them to change the pick up location!
Until I called to RalphLauren ask for helping, the problem has been solved finally...
I am so disappointed to Fedex about the quality of the service, and their representative's attitude.
Really don't understand why they couldn't change the pickup location for me since I have all the documents to prove I am the reciever!
And there is one more bad service of Fedex is there is no 3 attempts to me! They just came for 2 times only!
and their reason for could not deliver to me is they do not have the enter code of my apartment!
I wanna know how come they don't have, since the UPS have one and I just got the delivery from UPS at the same day!
Never use Fedex again and avoid the companies which use Fedex!
It is a terrible experience of using Fedex!

poor delivery service
I was expecting 2 packages from Fed Ex today. Lo and behold I signed on Fed Ex web site to track them and noticed that they JUST came by. The driver didn't even bother to ring the door bell. Am I supposed to listen for the arriving truck? I know this is a very busy time for them but the least they can do is to ring the door bell and wait for a few seconds instead of just leaving the door tag. Maybe this is their way to tell you that they expect you to pick up the packages instead! No wonder the drivers are not FedEX employees, this is the 'quality' service that FedEX provides.

lost package, misleading customer, lies and insults
The FedEx package was picked up by the FedEx representative on September 20, 2009 and was lost by the FedEx service in the Paris (France) airport on October 1, 2009. To begin with, FedEx never informed me about the loss of the package. When I discovered that the package was never delivered, I contacted the FedEx service - and this is when the nightmare started. The FedEx representatives were rude and misleading, always lying to me about the case's status. Several times I was told that I do not have to do anything since they have their regular procedure of dealing with similar cases. I was told that the complaint was filed on my behalf and that the Claims Department will be in touch with me due in time. However, since nobody called me, few weeks later I made an attempt to communicate with the mentioned Claims Department. To my surprise, I found that the FedEx representatives were not willing to connect me with the Claims Department. Even when placing a phone call through an automatic service and asking for the Claims Department, my call was always going somewhere else but not to the Claims Department. Whenever calling FedEx, I was always connected to a representative who was then passing my call to another person and so on and so forth, endlessly. I was often placed on hold with the longest waiting time of 25 minutes. Each time I was connected to the next FedEx representative, I was asked to repeat what exactly was in the lost package. Each time the FedEx representative was telling me that s/he has no record of the package's content, although I was specifying it during each of my phone calls to FedEx. Finally, after many days of torture and humiliation, one of FedEx employees told me that my complaint was never filed "on my behalf" and therefore nothing was transferred to the Claims Department. I personally filled out the complaint form (Claim No 33387919) and submitted it by Fax to the FedEx office. At the same time, I filed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB received several bureaucratic and formal letters from the FedEx representative. Later, I received a check for $100 from FedEx. I did not accept this check. It was sent back to Madame Sheila Flatt. I consider this pathetic check for $100 as yet another insult coming from the monster-business. Better Business Bureau failed to assist me with my effort to receive complete compensation from FedEx.
The consequences for me are of several natures:
1. Economic loss of $950.
2. Emotional damage: I was lied, insulted, misled and humiliated on multiple occasions.
3. Time loss: should the FedEx representatives be truthful, I would never wait for them "to file a complaint on my behalf"; should the FedEx phone system and employees be truthful, I would be able to either communicate with the Claims Department or would be informed that the customers are forbidden to communicate with the claims department.
4. Business and personal loss of a carrier: due to the lost trust in FedEx business, I had to make an effort on finding another carrier for all my future express mail services. It took time and additional effort to establish this new service.

clearance delay
I mailed some very important documents on a friday. These documents contained very sensitive material pertaining to income tax returns. I mailed these at a Fedex Kinko's who asked me as to when I would need them to be delivered. We asked that it arrive at its destination, Cebu, Philippines on Monday. There was no problem upon mailing them. It's only upon arrival in cebu, philippines wherein which these documents had a clearance delay. TWICE. It was clearly stated on the shipping slip that it contained only documents. Even at the time it was mailed, I put those documents into the envelope right in front of a fedex personnel. Now, when we called the destination office in Cebu, they informed us that the reason for the delay was because the package was declared as amounting to above 50 dollars. It's not like this is the first time that we have used fedex. Heck, we've sent some items in the past which we did declare to be more than 50, even more than a hundred dollars! Which is why, we knew that this reason was just simple b.s..The guy we spoke to had the gall to even tell us that it was still being held by customs and would take 1 or 2 days more before the package could be delivered. It's either that we wait or we could personally go over to their office to pick it up! Isn't it their job to deliver?? And not just deliver, but deliver it on time?? If that person had been able to provide us with some other clear explaination for the delay and why it was being held at their office, I wouldn't be as pissed off as I am right now. If ever those documents which I have by the way labelled for embassy officials only to open, have been tampered in any way, I am going to find a way to sue that office and never ever, EVER use fedex again.

Lost of items
Well this is the last resort for me, i ordered stuff from a company and they sent the stuff in 3 batches thru fedex i got the first and third BUT the second thru the tracking on fedex was surposelydelivered at my door, well i did not recieve it, it was a friday and i was home all day... Well i ordered stuff again from another company the first batch of stuff got to me, the second butch, which was to be delivered on friday again was reportedly delivered at my door and of cause i did not receive it, is there a parten here or what, Why cant fedex be like ups i never have a problem with them, FEDEX IS NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS, U MIGHT REFUND THE MONEY BUT U CANT REFUND THE TIME.

Horrible Service
I have sent several packages via FedEx and have had 50% of them mishandled. The first was a package that apparently was dropped or smashed, breaking a bottle that was inside. The package was then opened, the bottle then taken out, it was resealed and shipped without warning or acknowledgement. The next was a package that was shipped and when arrived the contents were smashed and the product was unusable. Now this 3rd time is my final straw and I will NEVER use FedEx again. In fact I will do everything I can to make sure I hamper there buisness from here on out. I was out of town and had a friend ship a package. He never had used FedEx before so when he got there they assisted him with the airbill and didn't give him his tracking number. Then they charged him for next day delivery. A week went by and the package wasn't delivered. So I called numerous contacts to find my package and they all said package wasn't in the system. I am now out the contents of that package and with no compensation or care from the service provider. They have mishandled and opened my mail, which is a Federal Offense that will go unnoticed and unrepremanded due to the fact I can't financially make this aware through legal means. If the mail system in America doesn't work no wonder the economy can't either.
