Bad service
I ordered a package from amazon on 02/14 it said 5-8 buisness days shipping. It didn't leave them until a week later 02/21 arrived that night 10pm at Fed Ex smart post in Kent, WA. It then sat there and didn't show leaving there until 02/23 after 7pm 2 days sitting in the store!! Really? When I track the package it finally now says post office is notified of incoming delivery due 25th- yet post office has still not seen anything. Two more days of no tracking. I expected more from Amazon and Fed Ex but the smart post is not a direct Fed ex so if I can't be guaranteed regular fed ex no indirect offices I won't order from Amazon.

Package not delivered and no follow up in timely manner
I shipped two packages. One 13 lbs and one 61 lbs. The 13 lb. package
was left at the apartment door. The large package was not at the door
when the consumer opened the door soon after delivery. It seems hard
to think that someone would steal a 61 lb package and leave the small
one. The apartment was an upstairs apartment. The package was addressed
to a military person. This package was full of military issued
clothing. The customer service was contacted and did not call. We
had to call them to find out anything. They said the driver had
48 hours to contact them. In this day of cell phones, etc. I don't
understand this. The tracing department said their computer said
the packages were delivered and they had done their job. We mentioned
the insurance claim and they said we could file it, but they had done
their job. I will never use Fed X again. It seems the security for
the packages is not there. They should have left a note on the door
and not left the packages at an apartment hallway.

Delivery Exception Security Delay
What do those words mean? This driver for Fedex attempted delivery for my sons package three times. Each time it states that it is a delivery exception security delays. My son is at a military base, thought the security check lines were too long and he could not deliver. I am beginning to think the guy does not know where to deliver. How long can this go on before they just send the package back. So upset. Don't know what to do. It says will attempt delivery the next day. I will call Fedex Customer Service and see what kind of explanation they will give me.Never again. Will go with UPS the next time.

Strikes again
So had a package shipped monday, and all week until 11 pm last night tracking said...2/11/11 delivery. Anniversary is Monday so finally made plans for the weekend, to celebrate...2 teenagers staying off...was going to be the first in years. Get up this morning and delivery now 2/12/11. Had to cancel plans, they won't hold it in my town for me to go get...When asked why the tracking changed, they said the 18 wheeler is going slow due to weather. So then I ask what am I supposed to do about the money I am out for not being able to leave today...Nothing we can do.So now have to wait until they show up tomorrow to leave. USPS shipped to me 6 packages this week and they were ALL ON TIME! I will NEVER used Fedex again!

Lazy delivery guy trapped me!
I am looking out the window at a 120 pound box leaning against the back of my car. I don't understand how the delivery guy couldn't take the time to walk onto my porch and ring my doorbell to ask for help. I would have gone outside and moved my car and helped him carry the package to the porch. Now I have no idea how I'm going to get this package into the house... or get my car out of my driveway. I would be satisfied if I had the option to at least go someplace if I wanted to. Thank you very much, FedEx.

Changing the weight of my packages upwards!
Every bill I receive has at least one item that shows an increased weight. All of the packages in question were dropped off at fedex kinkos. Its not a dimensional weight increase since it would say that next to the line item. Right now i'm looking at a one that went from 1 lb to 2.5 lbs! I have to call each time to get it corrected, and each time, the customer service people say they have no idea why a package would go up in weight unless it was truly the wrong weight to start with. We actually print the shipping receipt now and re-weigh the items once a discrepancy is discovered - we are never wrong! I am wondering if any of you whom have already posted (or anyone else) have this resolved? Many thanks in advance.

Die
Fedex is a joke of a courier service and I wholeheartedly voice my support for all consumers to switch to UPS! They always leave doortags instead of attempting to deliver packages. What is the point of a delivery company that doesn't deliver and forces customers to pick up their packages?
Some countries are run by dictators and are called banana republics because they can't seem to do anything right. A few years ago I would have been enthusiastic about Fedex's service because they used to be professional. They aren't anymore. Period.
Every single time there's been a door tag left at the entrance of my apartment complex with no other evidence of a delivery attempt. It's like they don't even try to enter the building. Then the door tag they leave usually says available to pick up for one hour before we close and attempt to deliver again the next day. At UPS you can request that they stop the package so you can pick it up yourself if the couriers themselves are unable to deliver it to you.
UPS should be eating Fedex alive right now and I don't understand why people still patronize Fedex.

Delivery service
Just thought I'd share something that occurred involving FedEx. Recently I started noticing that every time I ordered a package it would never come. I'd go online to check the tracking status and it would say "delivery exception" meaning the customer was not available to receive the package. In every instance I was home in my apartment waiting and in every instance at the same time between 11:30am-12:30pm the driver would claim I wasn't there. I'd call FedEx to tell them what happened and they'd just keep saying "oh sorry we missed you." I'm like miss me?? How the hell can this guy keep missing me like a dozen times when i'm here waiting. I kept testing my buzzer thinking ok maybe it's not working even though other people were buzzing my apartment so i knew it couldn't be that. So it wasn't the buzzer. Why then does he keeping saying nobody's home?? I double checked with FedEx each time to make sure the address was correct and it always was. So what then?? Well I decided the next time to wait for the guy downstairs in the lobby of my building around the usual time he always said he was there. I went down at 12:10pm, had my Blackberry with me and frequently checked the online tracking. Just as expected it said delivery exception at 12:25pm customer not available. I immediately called FedEx, told them I was literally standing in the front doorway of my building at the exact same time the driver claims to have stopped by. I told them no Fed Ex delivery attempt was made. I demanded to be put in touch with his station manager and they conferenced the call. The manager then told me to hold while he contacted the driver. I do not know what was said but the manger came back on and apologized to me and said he'd send another driver to deliver my package within a few hours. Long story short I got my package about 5 hours later but still no explanation or understanding as to why the original driver had obviously been lying about coming here all those times. Is this what i'm paying for?? For someone to play games with me. Did I piss him off one time or something and he just decided to start fu** ing me over?? I don't know...but I'm never ordering anything through FedEx again. At least not as long as I'm at this address.

Lies to its customers
Didn't receive a package by FedEx and they had listed the reason on their site as not home or business closed. When I checked further I found FedEx had actually put my package on the wrong truck and will not change the reason on their site to the truth.
I inquired further and they said they only have a very few keys in their machine and use not at home, etc when THEY make a mistake. I suggested they add another key or two and they declined. This means to me that they endorse lying. This makes for a great company profile and makes you wonder, if they lie about this, what else have they or will they lie about? A moral company, I think not.

Annoyed in Missouri

FedEx is waiting until spring to deliver my package, but it is OK because they sent me a postcard instead?!?
FedEx failed to deliver my package four days in a row last week - supposedly they attempted it all four times and supposedly supposedly there were "delivery exceptions" due to "weather delays" all four times. I called this morning and they said it was on the truck and would definitely be delivered today. Around 1 pm I checked the tracking number and it was listed as a "Delivery exception" again. When I called back again they told me not to worry, the driver had "MAILED ME A POSTCARD" about the package today!
Now all four of the "Delivery exceptions" listed on the website from last week list "Local weather delay, delivery attempted" as the reason it was not delivered. And all three of the people on the phone mentioned this as the reason that the driver did not deliver the package. The last person I talked to said that the driver was 'having trouble getting our street because of snow.' This is a little suspect for two reasons. The first is because one of the OTHER people I talked to at FedEx today said that actually the box was never even put on a truck to attempt delivery today. And the second reason is that there really isn't any snow in our street or driveway (see attached picture - taken only minutes ago). It is 50 degrees and sunny. There is some water from melted snow in the street and a bit of ice by the curb. There is a wreath in the road that the trash truck dropped WHEN IT DROVE DOWN OUR STREET AND COLLECTED THE TRASH THIS MORNING.
It is true that there is snow IN THE YARDS. Are they planning to wait for spring when the last of the snow melts to deliver the package? I suppose they expect me to wait for the postcard the driver mailed me to arrive so that I can find out. I wonder how the FedEx driver thinks that the mail man from the postal service will possibly BRAVE THE LOCAL WEATHER CONDITIONS to deliver this postcard? ;)
