Lying delivery drivers
Package scheduled for "Home Delivery" today, January 15. Have watched the tracking updates closely, as this is an urgent package.
Situated myself literally 5 ft. from the front door, with inside door open with only a full-glass storm door between me and the outside. Check tracking at 8AM - package on schedule. Check tracking at 11:30AM - "delivery exception: customer not available or business closed". This was supposedly at 9:55AM. Umm... no FedEx truck has even been on my road all morning. I can speak from my own watching for this urgent package.
Customer service phone call only slightly helpful. She put in a "request" for a re-attempt today, but cannot guarantee anything. Would not connect me to local office to speak to manager, said I would have to call back if package doesn't show up today. Of course, that puts the call after business hours - so that doesn't help. If it doesn't show up today, they will reattempt Tuesday, January 18... 3 days too late and a major inconvenience.
She also said the option to pick it up at warehouse would not be available until next week.

Unexpected charges
The company undertook the responsibility of shipping an item from Israel to Athens, Greece knowing that, almost cetainly, it was going to be kept for taxing by greek customs. Instead of charging a fee for the process in advance the company has the practice to let the item arrive to the customs and then ask a fee from the recipient (about twice as much as the fee asked from the seder in my case) in order to compleat the process and deliver the item to his/her door. The alternative options offered to the recipient have a comparable cost which puts him/her in a "no options" situation.
I believe that the company has the required expertise to estimate the cost of such routine deliveries, that the consumer is likely not to be aware of, and charge the appropriate shipping+handling fee by informing in advance the interested parties (both sender+recipient). I think such practices are not consumer friendly and shipping companies should make a relevant change in their policies.

Unacceptable Customer Service
FedEx is PATHETIC, has very poor customer service, you can't understand them on the phone (outsourced service -- surprise, surprise). I will NEVER USE THEM again!!! I ordered a package that requires a signature. They missed us TWICE -- Wednesday and Thursday (Because they can't narrow down the delivery time any closer than a 12 hour window). On the 2nd attempt (Thursday) I called and asked them to hold at the FedEx Store so I could drive there and pick-up the package myself... they said OK it would be there on Saturday. On Saturday the package was not at the local store and they could not tell me WHERE it was located... then late on Saturday I called the 1800FedEx # and they told me the package would not be delivered to the local store until NEXT TUESDAY!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!! Never again...

Not Delivering a Package
I have two packages shipping from Apple that require signatures. Both packages were scheduled for delivery on 1/12/11. One package is coming via UPS and the other via FedEx.
I print out the pre-release signature forms for both shipments and tape them to my front door at 7am. They are taped right beside each other and to ring the doorbell you would be staring right at them.
UPS delivers the package no problem. FedEx says "no one was home". Either the driver is a liar or blind as bat. Either way it is simply pathetic. And to top it off, there were people at home, in my house the entire day!

Lies about delivery
It is December 31, 2010. Fed Ex says that they came by my house to deliver a heater that I needed. I am home, have been home, no door bell, no knock, not delivery attempt note. I was in the living room by the door. My Toy Poodle barks at any noise, especially the door bell or knock. But, FedEx says they were at my house and made a delivery attempt. Lies!!! No heat for me! Fed Ex is conveniently closed for the holiday weekend. Why would a company like Fed Ex not tell the truth! It is very disappointing

Don't use their service
I ordered the new Kinect for my Wife for Christmas on December 8, 2010, it was supposed to be delivered by the 14th of December, I kept tracking the package through Fedex website, and it kept showing it as sitting in a facility only 90 miles from my house for over a week, and by December 20, 2010, I sent a email to complain, and not ten minutes later i check the tracking number to track my package, and it says that the package had been delivered, now this is while I am at my house mind you, and so i called Fedex and the lady said that she did not know what had happened, so I had to call walmart and they had to send me another one, and my wife was without a christmas present, but here is the good part, I told walmart not to ship fedex, and they said they had no control of whom the package is shipped through???, so i was like ok, FedEx certainly wouldnt screw this up again, well i was wrong, because they did, they were late again and said it was an incorrect address, and that the package was going to a walmart and not to a residence, well i told them that walmart was the shipper and i was the receiver, and they were like Dohhh, and I finally just received my wifes christmas present today(December 30, 2010), thanks FEDEX, I suggest NEVER NEVER using FEDEX EVER...

Lying about delivery
My package was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday, and it is Thursday and has still not been delivered. I called FedEx 3 times. Wednesday afternoon I called and they said they guaranteed they would be there between 6-8pm. I waited all day, no delivery. Thursday I waited all day at home AGAIN, and did not get anything. I called at about 1:30 and said they should be there before 5. I check online and it says "delivery exception" when NO ONE rang the bell or left a slip. The driver was too lazy to drop off the package and they all cover for each other. Still no package and I got overnight shipping. WHAT A SCAM!

still waiting for delivery, no tracking updates
place order with walmart.com on 12/14/10 for confirmed delivery date of no later than 12/23/10. It was shipped on Fedex according to their shipping email notice to me. It is now 12/18/10 PM and still no shipment and no way to track it as the Fedex tracking is never updated. I can't get a straight answer from Fedex or Walmart.com C/S. What am I to do now?

They didn't eve try to deliver!!
My husband's business closed early for Christmas, so we missed the first delivery. I get that, and it's OK. But then, over Christmas, we got 7 inches of snow. It is now 1.5 days since the snow fall, and everyone was at work today. But not FedEx. They didn't even try to make ANY deliveries in the area. So, when my husband called to find out what was going on they told him that he could feel free to drive in the snow, black ice, and evening traffic to their distribution center to pick up the much needed package (a cell phone for my disabled sister). They even confirmed that the distribution center (which should be busy because they didn't deliver today) would be open until 8:00 PM. He walked through the door at 6:15 PM in time to see the employees lock the doors and turn off the lights. So, now he has to drive from one side of the county, into the city, and now back to another end of the county to get home across all of the black ice. So, my dear husband is willing to risk his life for this much needed package, but FedEx isn't even willing to try to drive when the sun is out and the ice is melting. I will never use FedEx again!!! I have just posted the same on my FaceBook page.

Customer not available or business close
My package was said to have been on the truck out for delivery. The truck driver came into my residence around 5:50 pm and turned around and left, I attempted to wave him down but he continued to drive on. I had my fiance stay home the whole day to wait for the package and at 5:53 they reported that the customer was unavailable. I called to make a complaint but the representative was unhelpful and unwilling to contact the driver to find out why this happened. It's very unlawful to falsify information and Fed is very guilty of that.
