I do not recommend that anyone use FedEx. Here is my dilemma. I ordered a chair to be delivered and FedEx's computerized telecom service notified me that my delivery will arrive at my doorstep at 10:30am. At 10:00am - I found a doortag in my mailbox. Apparently, FedEx's driver pre-written the doortag and dropped it into my mailbox and hopped back on his truck without even ringing my doorbell. When I notified FedEx that my security cameras caught this activity, the Terminal Supervisor hounded me to get the tapes. I still have the tapes and at the right time, I will air it on YouTude. Label it FedEx Sucks With Delivery.
I got my chair eventually, but I paid to have it delivery in 1-3 days not 7 days.

Lazy Drivers
So, we ordered a 46 inch tv. The window of delivery was 6/23-6/28. FedEx's tracking showed the package at our local hub on the 23'rd, with a delivery date of the 24'th.
Before I left for work yesterday, the tv was "out for delivery". Had someone wait at home for them to show up. Checking in on the tracking later, we had a Delivery exception: No attempt made, delivery scheduled for next business day.
But, because it was still inside the delivery window I didn't call them to complain. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the truck it was on broke down. Not that a lazy driver didn't want to attempt to lift the box.
Waited around today for them to arrive as well. Didn't ring the doorbell, didn't knock. Just looked outside at around 10:30 am to see the tv sitting at our front door, easily seen from the roadside. We have a sign on the door to make all deliveries to the back porch (which is out of sight from the road, and safe from weather)
The kicker is what it said on the tracking "9:49 am - Left at back door. Signature Service not requested." Apparently the driver thinks that the "back door" actually means the "front door." Thankfully none of our neighbors saw the tv in time to steal it.

Fedex damaged my pool liner in shipment, returned it to sender--what would they do to compensate?? Nothing, I just wanted another liner expidited, but NO--had to call customer service, I got Mexico--I guess FedEx has monopolized the business and does not give a rat's ass if they damage other people's property!!!

Fed Ex cannot handle deliveries
Fed Ex cannot handle deliveries. I think that they are totally incompetent!! If you pay for a shipment to be overnight that doesn't mean 4 days later just because they had a late flight. They should not have routed the package through that city if they knew there would be a late flight. IDIOTS!! If all businesses were run this way the whole place would never receive anything. They need to plan out deliveries much better than currently.

I ordered a Nokia Shade from Verizon Wireless for a 2 Year upgrade. I had regrets in ordering the phone and decided to get the Omnia 2. The excellent folks at verizon (Non Sarcastic) told me that there will be no restocking fee just refuse the FedEx box when it comes and it will go right back. That was several days ago. Verizon has yet to get the phone back. I called customer service at FedEx and a very RUDE lady told me that it would ship out in an hour. That was 2 Days ago and it still sits at FedEx and they refuse to send it back. I am done with FedEx. UPS seems much much better and actually care about there customers.

Will not deliver package
On June 1, FedEX picked up a package for delivery to my home, their website showed it was on truck for delivery to my home. On June 2, it was returned to FedEX because they said they could not locate address.
FedEX has delivers here at least 4 times year, but now they can't find it. On June 3, they said it is back on truck for delivery. We call them at 8:20 pm and are told it will be here in 30 minutes.
On June 4, their website shows it attempted to deliver but customer was not home. I have been here for 8 days without leaving the property so they obviously lie.
This morning, June 4, they say it is on truck for delivery and they can't take it off truck because it will take 2-3 days to return to company. We are told someone has to be here for delivery. We had other appointments scheduled for the day. FedEX ***!
Come on FedEx you are not leaving planet earth!

Driver lies. Did not deliver package.
I have paid extra to have my package ship on time to my house. I stayed at home all day to wait for my package. No one came and yet status updated with delivery attempted and "custemer not available or business closed". I called Customer Service and they said they don't have the driver information, they can't contact the driver, that I have to wait for another attempt which won't happen until 3 days later due to weekend and normal Monday off.
Four years ago, I bought a $500 camera and used Fedex service. They claimed they delivered it which was a lie since my dad was at home all day long and no one stopped by and delivered nothing. I filed a claim and they refused to pay me my camera.
Never ever use Fedex again.

Unclear costs and duties
Receiving a shipment with Fedex from the US to Europe... Apart from the (much longer) time it took to get here, the duties that had to be paid were more than expected. A check with the customes office showed clearly what the duties should be, and they were to be 30% lower than Fedex quoted they are.
As I needed the equipment I paid, but asked Fedex why the duties were so high... Guess what, even after I have asked adn summoned they numerous times by phone and mail, there is no reply... not even a message that they are checking... that is.. because they know..
Low rates... yeah, grabbing some extra money on the side, that how they stretch the margins..

Poor service
I called to inform FedEx that i would not be home from
1:30-2:30 pm everyday to receive my package. So for the last 2 days they came at 1:45 and 2:10. I called them when i got home and they told me that i have to drive down there and pick it up. It is 2 hours away from my home. So i guess i will have to drive down there to pick it up or they will ship it back within 7 days. Thanks FedEX for the worst service i have ever had. I will Never have anything shipped from them again.

I am really not happy with the service
Tracking number 870721200549 was to be delivered Friday, 1/29/10. I did not receive. I check tracking today and it showed Fed Ex tried to deliver at 4:15 PM on 1/29/10 and that we were closed. That is not true I was sitting here until 5:00 PM. I finally received. I am really not happy with the service.
