KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! – THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND DON’T KEEP THEIR WORD
My husband and I planned to go on a trip to Charleston, SC in May. Unfortunately, we found Festiva’s website and decided to give them a call and get more information about their “great deals”. Their employee told us all the things they would provide in exchange for our presence in a 90 minute presentation; 3 nights in Charleston, a $50 card for spending, and an additional 2 nights in Gatlinburg. After some pressure from the employee, we accepted the deal. The week before we traveled, Festiva called us to confirm our reservation, however nobody answered any of our attempts to return the call. After a seven hour drive from our house to Charleston, a Festiva employee reached us to confirm our hotel reservation. At this point, the agent asked our income and realized that we were not qualified to get the deal that we had already paid for. After A VERY FRUSTRATING conversation with 2 employees they transferred us to manager Kevin Blakely. He agreed to review our phone conversation with the employee that made our reservation to confirm that we had been asked about our income before making our reservation. Mr. Blakely called us back ADMITTING THAT THE EMPLOYEE NEVER ASKED, but still he would not do anything to fix the problem that THEY MADE. My husband and I end up wasting a whole day of our vacation looking for another hotel to stay in and spending much more than we had budgeted. IT WAS A VERY FRUSTRATING DAY THANKS TO FESTIVA’S POLICY OF AVOIDING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND NOT HONORING THEIR COMMITMENTS.
If you are thinking of dealing with or investing in this company, please don’t waste your time or money. If anything goes wrong they will hang you out to dry. A company that treats people like does not deserve your business. It’s not surprising that they have lots of complaints out there and the number keeps increasing.

SCAM- Stay Away
This was my first and last experience with Festiva Resorts. I am Disgusted and Frustrated by the unethical and unprofessional acts commited by this company. I received a fabulous offer to stay for 3 nights at Myrtle Beach, for only 117.00, with the only commitment being to attend "just a 90 minute presentation". I made the reservations in May, and paid my $117.00 room charge upfront. 2 days before my vacation, I called them to confirm my reservations, only to learn that they had decided to move me to a different resort not even owned by them, and somehow someone forgot to tell me. When I got down there, the place was infested with mice and ants. I reported the problem immediately to the resort. My presentation was scheduled for the next day. We were required to drive 20 miles away to another location and check in, and then had to get back in the car and drive another 3 miles to another resort for the presentation. I, along with my 3 young children sat in this AWFUL attempt to get someone to buy anything from them. Were were forced to sit in a small room with a group of about 30 peoople, and told that if anyones cell phone rang, that he would start all over from the beginning. We were then required to tour the property and then sat down by a NASTY salesperson, and harrased at trying to get you to buy from them, not taking "No" for an answer. The only way I could leave was to comply with what they said, that I am not int b/c my fiance was not present (which I don't even have) and they were pressuring me to make up a name, even tried to get me to use my sons name. At that point, I said, I am done, I attending the presentation, as required, I would now like to get my $25 gift card promised, and try to enjoy the 2 days left of my stay. I was told to drive back to their office to turn in my tour information, and redeem my gift. When I walked in they took my tour information and said that I would not receive my gift because my fiance was not present, which again- there was no fiance.. I was so frustrated! They walked away from the counter and said I can't help you anymore. Leaving me standing there without a chance to defend myself. I decided that they could keep the $25, and tried to make the best of the nest 2 days. Well as soon as I returned home, I learned that they charged my bank card a $200 charge, with NO Authorization to do so! I was PISSED at this point... I called the resort office I attended- but no one would tell me why, and said I would have to contact customer service, after many failed attempts over the next few days, I finally reached a rep at the home office location, that was rude, and of no help whatsoever, he too told me I would have to contact someone else at another office. I told him- this is where the charge originated in the Ashville, NC office, and this is where I demand an answer, he said "sorry" can't help you.. I said, I am filing a police report, and a claim with the BBI, which I did, and now I am also having to go through a process with my bank to recoop the $200 charge. I am a single mother with 3 kids, who needed this vacation and trusted that this company was legit. I am ANGRY that Business' like this exist, and that they seem to get buy with it.. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE contaced by Festiva to Stay Away from them... Save yourself your money, & your sanity!
