Stay away
I purchased a new set of Bridgestone tires plus the lifetime alignment policy. I have routinely taken my car for regular tire rotations and alignments. Yesterday, I find out my tires that have less than 30k miles are wearing uneven and will need replacement in 4k miles. The reason from Firestone, my car didn't have alignments! I have paper work from all the times I took the car in and now find out that alignments weren't being done. I had my car in 6 months ago for tire rotation and alignment and not one word was mentioned that my tires were wearing uneven. Also they said the aligned it, but did NOT! I have also taken my car there many times and they say can't do the rotation/alignment because they're too busy. Come back another day. I'm sure that I've received this horrible treatment because I have this alignment policy. They want to sell it to you, but when you want service they consider you a worthless customer. I have talked to the manager and took all my receipts from the past 4 years and stated how unhappy I am with the poor customer service and now faced with purchasing new tires. He offered to give me a 55% discount on my next set of tires because of poor wear. I appreciate that, but I would not have gotten that if I had not saved all my receipts. I think they have treated me bad because I'm a female. I purchased that policy to take care of my tires and found out that I was not being taken care of at all. This is unethical business practice.

Bad Job
I was in the store for a replacement of tires. After I drove out I saw my steering wheel was tilted. They said that since the tites were new the tilt cannot be fixed without an alignment and I had to pay for it.

Ridiculous and Costly
I have been going to the same small company for 15 years. I had to drive down to Mokena Illinois to take a teaching exam. My car was giving me trouble the whole drive and I thought my tires were out of alignment.
So, after my exam I called around to repair shops and nothing but Firestone was open. I thought "Complete Auto Care? They should be able to fix it no problem.
It turned out I needed an oil change and to have my tire rod replaced.
They also told me my car would run better if I replaced the wheel bearing and the ball struts.
I did not have $800, so I said no.
Driving back home, my heat stops working. Thinking it is the recent oil change needing to run through the system, I decided to see what would happen. Two weeks, my heat still does not work. I get sick from the flu. From driving in a freezing cold car. Keep in mind this is the beginning of January.
One day I was driving my dad's pt cruiser and I hit a speed bump at 20 mph due to not seeing it from snow cover. His tires evidently had also been at a low pressure at the time.
So, he told me to take it to Firestone to get the wheels replaced.
They did this (took the entire evening to do it too) while my dad over the phone opened a Firestone card.
He was quite happy with his car and it has been driving lovely ever since.
Since he got such good results, I went back to firestone to see what had happened to my heat.
I was there from 2:14pm until 7:35pm which is downright ridiculous.
I asked for the following :
1. Fix my turn signal (it kept blinking fast)
2. I don't have heat in my car.
3.) Just make sure my tires are at 31 PSI I can;t find my tire gauge.
There was actually nothing wrong with my coolant tank but they did a coolant flush to make sure. They tell you the cost of the flush but not the labor charge. They do that with everything. They tell you the price "Oh it's just 21.99." Not "Oh it's 21.99 for the coolant and $99 for the labor to put it in." To make my bill a bit cheaper I signed up for the credit card. And paid for it with it.
So, apparently my tubes are also cracked and leaking. They said they would call me back the next day after they get the dealer prices for the tubes. A week went by. I got fed up and called them. They told me they forgot about it. They went to talk to the guy who worked on my car and he told them the info. After charging me $176 to put in coolant and change two bulbs in my car, they know tell me:
The one tube is the PVC Tube that goes from the bottom of the intake manifold to the front of the engine, and the other is a PVC tube that goes from the top of the air box to the top of the engine. All together with labor will cost me $328.85 ($185 in labor) and 1.8 hours.
This is bull!
My heat worked before I got the oil change down in Mokena. Everything was fine until I went to Firestone. Never again. I will pay off this credit card, and never return again.
Unless you can recommend a good one that will be honest and upfront will all prices and not do services you don't actually need (and not the one in Mokena Illinois or the one on Harlem near the Harlem Irving Plaza).

Stay away
Last month I took my 2001 Toyota Camry to Firestone for an oil change. I was told the car had an engine oil leak. I paid $130 for the detection labor and degrease engine. They told me I need to drive 200 miles before they can detect where the leak is. So I drove 200 miles and took my car to them again the next week. They still could not find where the leak was, and they recommended to replace a bunch of belts and parts so that they can see where the leak came from. Before they could do anything on the oil leak, I would have to spend $1000 to let them take off the parts and change belts. I refused to do that and sent my car to another shop for an oil leak detection one month later. I was told I have nothing to worry about at this time. They just found a few wetness at rear main seal area and from rear of cylinder head/distributor area, and my engine oil level is still the same as last month. So I paid $0 for the oil leak detection in another place. The workers from the Firestone were dishonest and trying to rip me off. I would NEVER NEVER go to any Filestone anymore.

Bamboozeled but not for long
I took my car into for a oil and lube, and front end alignment. I got a call while they were servicing it. I need a new tensioner, and both belts. Initially I told them that needed to come see the work before I could authorize it. But as the day wore on, I called back and said I want all old parts. When I go in to pick up my car, the representative, shows me a cut belt with some wear an just beginning to show small cracks, the other belt is uncut, and still looks almost brand new as he tries to convince me that it was worn, I still have that belt. Then he gets to the tensioner, lmao, he starts wiggling and wobbling round and round and nothing he can show me, in frustration he finally says well I have to put it in a vice to show you. The audacity of the people. They think we (the customers) are that stupid that we bite into that crap.

repair services
My car overheated!Firestone towed it to there shop and did a block and pressure test, MNGR. ERIC, nervous about it and does not charge me because he knows that they just serviced my car 5 days prior, he said, he was concerned about the oil in the car. After having it for 4 days, He STATED!!NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAR THERE IS NOTHING LEAKING, it passed everything BUT, ..bring it to the dealer.. WHY? IF NOTHING FOUND WRONG? Numerous calls back and fourth to consumers Firestone, regional mngrs, and corporate I manage to get test redone plus a coolant flush, Now they found a leak at the radiator & coolant hose meet.Firestone repairs the radiator and hoses after 9 days having my car and says ITS FIXED pick up your car should have NO MORE PROBLEMS.I no sooner get it home and it goes up a bar in temp gauge. next day I take it to cadi dealer as I WAS TOLD TO DO BY THE REGIONAL MNGR. JOE HUGES AND CORPORATE KATHY SMITH TO DO, SHOULD THE REPAIR WORK THEY DID, NOT FIX MY CAR.FIRESTONE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE!! FOR IT TO BE SERVICED AND REPAIRED. THE Cadillac Dealer preformed a block & pressure test, AND MY CAR FAILED, THEY SAID I HAVE HEAD GASKETS LEAKING, AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NO WAY POSSIBLE FOR FIRESTONE TO HAVE MISSED THIS ON THE FIRST TEST LET ALONE THE SECOND TEST!! AND THIS IS MY STANDARD COMPLAINT!!! AGAINST FIRESTONE.I PUT IN THE CLAIM AS I WAS DIRECTED TO DO SO FROM KATHY SMITH CORP. DAVE DUSACK FROM CLAIMS, TELLS ME THAT KATHY AND JOE WOULD HAVE NEVER AGREED TO DO ANY SUCH THING AND FIRESTONE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE. HOWS THAT? They are the ones who found and said the radiator was the cause of the car over heating, .Dave Dusack was confused over paper work dates as he stated the paper work has the facts & he don't care who I get OR TALK TOO, CAUSE IT'S ALL HEARSAY, & WHEN I SAID THERE IS PROOF DOCUMENTED FROM FIRESTONE CONSUMER, HE SAID PROVE IT, YOU HAVE NO PROOF AND I COULD'NT PROVE ANYTHING & THE ONLY THING THEY DID WRONG WAS MISDIAGNOSE MY CAR. I have been snowballed from FIRESTONE AFTER HAVING BEEN WITH THEM FOR 13 YEARS.NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO HUMILATED AND INSULTED AND SPOKEN TO IN SUCH A DEMEANING WAY I am in such shock!this is not over!!!

Poor slow damaging and degrading service
I went to fire stone auto center(Queensbury, NY) to get my car inspected they told me it would be 30 minutes, and it took over an hour and a half.
While doing the inspection they said I had a missing lug nut which i did not have one missing when I just had my tires serviced.
They were VERY rough on my car, they were kicking my tires off instead of removing them like they are supposed to with their hands. When they walked around my car with the tools it looked like they were scratching my car with it.
They slammed my hood down we heard it in the waiting area through 2 doors. It sounded like it cracked my hood.
They were so rude to us treating us like we were ***. They then tried saying I need over $2, 000 worth of repairs. When in fact I only need VERY minor repairs I was quoted at another place for $100 for the repairs.
It was the worst service I have ever received and I would only recommend going there if you are looking to get scammed! I would Never EVER go back to that place.
DO NOT GO THERE IT WILL BE THE WORST CHOICE YOU COULD MAKE FOR YOUR CAR & HARD EARNED MONEY!

Firestone (www.firestonecompleteautocare.com) is a complete rip off
Firestone (www.firestonecompleteautocare.com) is a complete rip off. My 83 year old mom went there for a tune up and came out with a $2400.00 bill on a credit card. She didn’t know how she was getting. She thought it was a loan, they told her she could make small monthly payments.
They didn’t tell her it was at 23% interest. Her car only has 71, 000 miles on it they replaced the struts, shocks, brakes and a lot more. Attorney General investigators have contacted us regarding our complaint. We hope they stop them from ripping people off.

Left Radiator Cap off, Ruined Engine later, No help
About a year ago I had my 2002 Toyota Camry serviced at Firestone at the Bellview location in Nashville. A couple days later the engine overheated and locked up on Interstate with my wife driving it.I had it towed to buddys shop who informed me it needed a motor and that the cap had been left off. I had it towed to Firestone and they fixed head etc. All my mechanic friends told me not to repair it because when those engines get hot enough to lock up you never know the damage to the lower unit and it can show up later. About 6 months later it locked up and threw a rod. Had it hauled back there and was told that no way the original issue had anything to do with this even though 3 qualified mechanics said there is no doubt that caused it. Went through there claims depatment and after months and unreturned calls was told it was denied. Now I have a good car with a blown motor. AAAAAAAgh.

Crooks
Every time I bring my car into a firestone, they break something. two differen locations two different cars and both oil change== well looks like you are going to need a new starter. also I had a power sterring hose installed and they intstalled it wrong costing me a new pump lost work time...etc
I think they break things while doing a simple oil change to make additional cash. I have real beef with these kind of outfits they are complete bullshit.
I now realize just never to go to firestone again, I think there should be an invesigation into their work ehtics.
