Rudeness/Unprofessional
I am a State Farm customer who recently had an auto accident with a man insured through First Acceptance Insurance. I was not at fault for the accident. I filed my claim with First Acceptance the day of the accident. Within two weeks, I had received absolutely no useful information from the person assigned to my claim. She was very hateful and rude each time I contacted her. My car was towed away from the accident scene to a local wrecker yard. First Acceptance was aware of this, and had even sent their adjuster out who had my car moved to a salvage yard. (It was obviously totaled..I knew that from day one) The woman assigned to my claim never returned any of my phone calls when I left her voicemails. The only time I could get her to answer was at 7:00 a.m. and she always asked "What do you need today?" in a hateful manner. I finally got fed up and called the main number and did not dial anyone's extension. I just wanted to talk to anyone...anyone but this woman. I told the lady who answered my problem and her reply was, "Well that's not my problem, I can't help you with that." I then asked to be transferred to the supervisor of my claim adjuster, and I was sent to the supervisor's voicemail. I left my name, telephone number, claim number, and a very detailed message and asked that she please call me back. Within 2 minutes of me leaving this message on the supervisor's voicemail, I got a call from the hateful woman, not the supervisor. She said "I just heard that message you left for my boss. Now what do you need?" I said I needed to know the outcome of the appraisal, since it had been completed over a week before. She said "I told you to stop calling me, that I would call you." I didn't call this woman everyday, but each time I did she acted as if I was bothering her. I said "Fine, I will just contact State Farm and let them take over the claim." Immediately after I said that she typed something on her computer and said "Oh wait, the information just came in." She then proceeded to tell me that my car was totaled and that they were going to offer me $10, 000. The Blue Book Value of my 2005 Honda Civic is approximately $15, 000. I then said "No thank you, cancel everything. I am going to let State Farm handle this because they told me they would give me $14, 661 for my car." She replied, "I don't care what State Farm does or you." So again I said cancel everything, I'm finished dealing with you. She then proceeded to call me a vulgar name and we hung up. This was the worst experience I could have imagined. I was injured in this wreck and it took them almost a week to tell me they would pay my medical expenses. State Farm did in one day what First Acceptance still hadn't done in two weeks. I am extremely upset at the rudeness and unprofessionalism I receieved from First Acceptance. I'm anxious to see how long it takes them to re-pay State Farm and also pay me back my $500 deductible.
