I registered for the ECG/Pharmacology course. FRA's own website (and the AHA) very clearly describe what is to be included in the course. On its website, FRA lists course time as 4 hours, cost was $95.00. Course was delivered in under two hours and only the ECG module was covered (and, frankly, in a much more ambitious time frame than specified by the AHA...though I *was* perfectly satisfied with this aspect of the training). The ACLS Pharmacology module was not delivered at all. Indeed, there was not a single mention of ACLS Pharmacology. Certainly it would have been impossible to cover both modules in the 2 hrs of instruction provided (AHA specifies 6.25 hours for the whole course). I wrote a courteous letter to FRA, requesting refund of 1/2 course purchase price. They initially refused refund and blamed me for failure to understand the Pharmacology portion of the course. Re-stating the facts i.e. that the Pharmacology module had not been delivered at all - and pointing them to their own and the AHA's official course description - did not seem to have any effect. They also mentioned videotaping courses in all of their classrooms. When I asserted that this seemed an odd and irregular practice - if not patently illegal - they said that only instructors are taped. Since we sat very close to the instructor during ECG practice I don't see how it would be possible to selectively record the instructor without recording the students. FRA finally agreed to issue refund but - consistent with the whole of their communication - closing remarks from them were not polite or apologetic.
