When I unwisely signed up for a DazzleWhite (also called DazzleSmile) "free trial, " I was automatically signed up for several other "free trials" that, if not canceled within 30 or 40 days, charge your account monthly from anywhere from $24-$69. Thanks to users on ComplaintsBoard, I was able to find out the phone numbers to cancel. Or so I thought.
I called 866-989-8944 to cancel the FitClubOnline membership and was told that they had no record of an account for me. I was told the same thing for InsiderSecret, 866-989-2685. That was it, no explanation or further research by the representative. Yet, two months later I've found that they are still charging me.
This time when I called, they found my accounts and cancelled them, but refused to refund the unauthorized charges. Even after speaking to a supervisor, the problem wasn't resolved. She suggested that I was lying about calling earlier to cancel; saying that they had a protocol for handling missing accounts and that IF I had called there would be a record of it and that I would be able to tell her what the next step in the protocol was.
At least by being tricked with the DazzleWhite membership I received something I could use, but with these online memberships I wasn't even able to access the services. They'd have lost nothing by giving me a refund. Well, I guess that's my punishment for not reading the fine print.
