I order a 10-day "free trial" of a product called TriSlim, which was to have "the appetite-suppressing power of Hoodia Gordonii, Metabolism turbo-charger in Green Tea, and Fat-Blocking Chitosan" and given me a weight loss of 15 lbs in 15days. I was just to be charged $4.95 for S&H. However, after it arrived, I took TriSlim for 10-days -- I had gained 3lbs. I called to cancel as the product did not work. The Customer Service representative worked very hard, talking on and on, to convince me to keep taking it as no one else had ever said the product did not work. Because everyone raved about it, I should just continue taking it and it would work. Finally, I was told that my "free trial" time had passed, and they had already shipped out to me a 3-months supply per the contract. My credit card was charged $149.85 and a S&H charge of $15.95 for that. I told them I would be refusing the shipment and asked for a reversal of the "unauthorized" charges. I was told that I authorized the shipment by not canceling within the free trial period. (Their 10-days and mine were obviously not the same.) But, since I would be returning the product unopened, they would refund $134.86, $149.85 minus a $14.99 "restocking fee." So, my "free trial" cost me the original agreed upon $4.95, plus $30.94 for a shipment I didn't want.
