When opening our fitness business we contacted the Commerical Manager for Fitness In Motion-Austin(won't name his name for legal reasons), and purchased our fitness equipment from him. To start he sent us pictures initially of pieces of equipment we were supposed to be purchase, then showed up with a piece of junk that was the same model but from a different person/location of his. When asked why it wasn't in great condition like that of the photo, he tried to convince us that the piece was better because he "refurbished" it. After having him take out and replace the SAME pieces of equipment numerous times, we finally realized his idea of "refurbished" meant he took a bunch of wiring and pieces from other dead pieces of equipment, and pieced together the pile of junk he oversold to us. We didn't realize he was doing this until recently when our expensive treadmill we purchased from him totally shut down and died. We called our equipment service guy and had him come take a look. After taking it apart and looking at it, he determined the most important electrical component to the expensive treadmill, was from another treadmill and never meant to work on ours. Not only that, but it was a 12 year old electrical component of which is expected to last 10 years max. Looked into buying a new electrical piece or getting it fixed. Come to find out it was going to be $1000 either way, whether we had it fixed or purchased a new one. So we paid market value for a treadmill that shut down after a few months of minor use, and then were going to have to invest another $1000 into it just to make it work.

There were NUMEROUS other issue with him after paying for our equipment ranging from lying to rude and un-professional attitude, but none of them trump the treadmill.

We had to purchase a brand new treadmill to replace it, and chose to drive 3 hours to the next commerical equipment store as opposed to dealing with him. I would not recommend ANYBODY, neither home consumer OR business owner, TO EVER do business with the Commercial Manager of FITNESS IN MOTION-AUSTIN. EVER!
