Dear Sir / Ma'am: I got a call from Five Star Universal, on Saturday, August 8, 2009, saying that I won a trip to Florida. I told the person who called me that I did not want any free trips to Florida! She told me that I had contacted the company on its website, and that I had purchased the ticket online. I never contacted them and I never bought any tickets online! Three ladies came on the phone to talk to me. I told them I was going to hang up on them because I did not want any prizes. They told me that I won the prize and the only way to cancel that was to give them my credit card number (they kept telling me I purchased the ticket online what I never did). However, they told me to cancel (whatever transaction they told me I did) I had to confirm (to give them) my credit card number, aftet that I could call them back and cancel the prize that I did not want on the first place. To get rid of them, after one hour of conversation on the phone, I followed their instructions, gave them my credit card number, called them back right away to cancel the free trip (that it is not free because my credit card bill is $554.61 only for that free trip) I won to Florida. When I called them back, they never answered my phone calls. There is always an answering machine. I sent them an email on the same day (Saturday, Aug.8) telling them that I wanted my money back because they lied to me. I told them from the beginning: I did not want any free trips or prizes, but they told me to cancel the trip, I had to give them my credit card number. English is not my first language. They were talking very fast, and I kept telling them that I did not want any trips to Florida, and that I did not want to pay anything! Also, I sent them an email on the same day, saying that I did not authorize them to take any money from my credit card account, but they did it anyway! I am a student at the moment. I do not have the money to pay for this credit card bill I've got now because of Five Star Universal lied to me. I do not want to travel anywhere. I do not want any prizes or free trips (that are not free anyway) from any companies, particularly from Universal. All I want is my money back, the full amount that I have to pay my credit card company. I am paying for something I never purchased, I never wanted! I do not have any documents, receipts, or even information about the trip Universal Company charged me for. I think this company should be punished by the U.S.A government by its dishonest selling practices. I contacted them several times, sent them emails to an address in its website that is not even the company's email (it is an address from someone who worked in this company). I have been having headaches with this company and my credit card company since August 8, 2009, when they called me to give me that free trip to Florida. Please, I hope you can help me. I do not know what to do anymore. All I want is my money back. I live in Canada and this company is in the States. Please, let me know how you can help me. Thank you very much for your help.
