Does not work!
The product, Fix It, does not work. I have several scratches in the roof of my truck and it wouldn't even take out the smallest of them. This product is a big scam and should be taken off the market. I followed the directions to the letter and was quite surprised when I found that the product just didn't do what it claimed to.

Fix It is a fraud

Fraud
My wife recently responded to an "as seen on tv" advertisement for the product "Fix It". She went to the asseenontv.com website and ordered Fix It, quite naturally expecting to receive it "as seen on tv". What we received was a tube of polishing compound, a little rag and a cheesy battery operated applicator but no clearcoat bonding agent Pro Pens, "as seen on tv". The Pro Pens are the featured item on the television commercial and with out them the customer is left with what is basically polishing compound which has almost no effect on even minor scratches. I worked a fine scratch for nearly 20 minutes with no visible improvement.
I contacted Rob in customer service at asseenontv.com(1-866-277-3366) mentioned the partial order without the pens, and was told the partial package without the necessary Pro Pens is how the manufacturer supplied the product and how they advertise it on their website. They offered me the option to return the product, but lose the $9.95 shipping and handling charge. Basically I would then be doubly frustrated, not able to get the correct product "as seen on tv" plus lose $9.95 shipping and handling, the cost of repackaging and reshipping, time, gas, etc. to return said product. This was totally unsatisfactory.
I then contacted the buyfixit.com website and called that customer service. They offered to ship the Pro Pens (which should have been in the original order) for an additional charge of $9.95. This smells of a fraudulent misrepresentation and could have the workings of a class action law suit.
I am only asking for the product ordered "as seen on tv". Please contact the asseenontv.com website and ask them to stop selling this incomplete package which is not "as seen on tv".
Alert all consumers before more fall victim to this bait and switch.

an outrage bill
I called 1 800 5281827 . I had an automated system on the line. They tell you a lot of articles are free. I wanted just the fix it for car scratches .- ADVERTISEMENT BY BILLY MAES ON CNN- They never told me the amount to be charged to my credit card before giving the Credit Card informations nor at the end of the transaction. Worse : when we received the package, NO BILL WAS INCLUDED just an item list most we did not want.
My mistake was not to hang up before giving the CC informations.I called the company. Unpossible to speak to a supervisor.I got the detail of the bill by phone.TOTA BILL 151.55 $ instead 39.80$. Most of the bill is shipping and handling, and they don't refund those fees. VERY SMART FOR MAKING MONEY!!!
We wrote to the Attorney General FL, we called the AARP laywer. ADVISE : send the total package back with a receipt, at our costs.
CITIBANK helps right away but Bank of America was very negative, did not help. My husband went to the next branch. They called New York and and when we have the statement, the branch will help us. WE WILL NEVER USE A BANK OF AMERICA CC FOR THIS KIND OF ORDERS.
WE LIKE TO WRITE THAT COMPLAIN TO HELP. OUR ADVISE : WHEN WE WANT ABSOLUTELY SOMETHING< WE WILL GO ON LINE AND ORDER BY MAIL with checks.

Scammed by Fix It
December 15, 2008
Scams
Scammers - Their online web site seems simple enough until you try and order something. After clicking on what you want your immediately asked for shipping and billing info. Once they have that - you are pounded with page after page (12 - 15 pages) of junk you don't want and you have to click through every single page to get the confirmation. I ordered a $9.95 item that had 1/2 price shipping of 4.95. By the time I got to the end with the confirmation page the order was for my item - double the shipping - plus a vacuum that I explicitly did not order and an another charge of $13. in shipping. Of course there is no back button and NO WAY to cancel or change the order. When I called to cancel the order (within hours), after waiting on hold for 22 minutes - I was told that the order already shipped, which is absolute bull. I asked for a tracking number but of course none could be given. This is apparently the same as a long line of Seen on TV crap with 'Billie Mays' ...Fit It - the Dent Puller - Oxy Clean - Etc.
I also wish I had looked on the internet before I ordering. Now its off to call the credit card company to place a charge-back. Oh well ..lesson learned.
